I booked through a 3rd party and understood that I would not receive a refund. The next day I called the Inn directly to cancel due to work. I was told that since I'd just booked the day before and the reservation was a month out, that they'd likely be able to give me a full refund. I let the auditor Lucas know that my crew and I would be booking at least monthly and that I would appreciate a full refund, if possible. Our email exchanges were polite and friendly, until the last one. I was given a 50% refund and asked him to pass along a msg to the owner/management saying that the partial refund cost their business much more than they'd just made ($80). His response, and my final response are below. In addition, an employee named Jennifer complained about "people who can't make their own coffee so she has to do it for them" while I was on the phone with her. They may be nice to your face, but they definitely don't think highly of customers.
From Lucas: I refunded 50% on a non refundable reservation and answer about 10 messages from you. Next time you need a hotel in Anchorage, please book at another hotel. This will be my last response. Sincerely, Lucas
From me: Well then. I've sent 5 emails; four of them in direct response to what you've asked me for. Great business you're running there. Jennifer complained about helping customers who needed coffee while on the...
Read moreCentrally located for our rental-car outfitted purposes; room was spare but adequately furnished with fully functional lighting, ventilation, heat & 2 small but mighty (and QUIET) tabletop fans. Small fridge (also very quiet) was plenty cold and sufficient spacious for bagged veggies, small beverage containers & light, chilled sandwich fixings for our 8-day stay. VERY comfortable, if cozy, double bed. Well lit main room & and shower-over-tub private bathroom. Surprisingly quiet neighbors all week long (though traffic was distracting each early morning - but got used to it readily). Staff are kind, helpful, very friendly & accommodating — even after the stay ended. Communal kitchen was disappointingly unkempt, but hadn’t planned on using it but for AM coffee & briefly useful additional freezer space. Other, more permanent(?) residents were abundantly helpful and friendly. Feel as if we got much more attentive, welcoming, supportive, & accommodating service than we paid for, including a first night, late hour, emergency overnight loan of a phone charger! LOVED the neighborly, “communal” vibe!! Really great & memorable stay. Thanks, everyone!!! Ed & Lisa (well over...
Read moreThis Inn is a unique eclectic hotel and unlike any national chain. If you are looking for something different than the typical chain, look no further. This hotel is reasonably priced, has clean rooms, nice beds, and good location for the variety of things we did in Anchorage (not in the typical “hotel row” where all other hotels are located), and service was excellent, We give this hotel 5 stars because when we had some problems with our stay, the hotel was quick to address all our issues and bent over backwards to our complete satisfaction. This hotel is run in a very...
