Omaha Steakhouse Orlando — Restaurant in Altamonte Springs

I am.a resident of Altamonte Springs and have dined at Omaha Steak house a number of times in the past and I have had an overall good experience. However it has been a number of years since I have dined there. I was in the mood for a Steak on Thursday night so I went there with a friend. The place was relatively vacant of customers, but I still had to get up on three occasions to find our server. My friend and I both ordered a NY Strip which took quit some time to have served, in the mean time we requested bread several times and finally received it toward the end of the meal. Once the Steaks finally arrived they were too tough to eat. The Server said that different cuts of meats have different levels of toughness. I agreed and said that is why we ordered NY Strips. She reluctantly offered us a different Steak and we both took her up on a Filet Mignon. Those Steaks arrived and were improperly cooked but by that time we had been there for an hour and a half so we both ate part of the Steak, paid the Bill with a 20 percent tip and left. During this whole experience were we never given the opportunity to speak to a Manager or offered an apology or a discount. I would not have written this bad review if it was not for what happened next. I did not make it home before I came down with the worst stomach ache I have ever had. It lasted all night. Very surprised that reviews were so low, so had to come see for myself. Restaurant located inside the Embassy Suites hotel, that is a bit dated. Entrance is through main door of hotel, side door next to restaurant is locked. Service was fantastic, Bianca was awesome and very attentive. Manager on duty checked on me to make sure everything was good. Adolfo the GM came out to say hello and told me he just took over and working on turning things around and make it a top Steakhouse. Food was delicious. Bang bang shrimp came out quick and hot and very good. I ordered the NY Strip, as suggested by Bianca, and it did not disappoint. Added just a pinch of salt, I like my steaks a little salty. The Double Chocolate cake was ridiculously good. Cappuccino was good as well. Myself & two coworkers were staying at this Embassy Suites, so we decided to dine at the Omaha Steakhouse which was in the hotel. For years, I've always wondered if their Steaks lived up to the hype of being advertised in hundreds of magazines, TV & Radio commercials. On our lovely server Bianca's recommendation, I had the Filet. It was crusted with Peppercorns. It was the most tasty & tender Filet I've ever experienced. My coworkers had the NY Strip. They both gave it an 8 out of 10. Our Salads were good & the Baked Potato rolled in Sea Salt was perfect. Bianca was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. She took great care of us.
