I will not be going here again. We live three minutes drive from this place. I was excited to try it because it looks clean, is very nicely decorated in an elegant style and my favorite colors, and the reviews were good. We have a favorite nail place, but it is in Draper. Hoping to find a regular place close by we were willing to try. On Friday we drove by and tried to make a reservation. Finding them booked was not surprising as I expect them to be busy with that many good reviews. They told me to first check with my daughterâs work schedule and call back, which I did the next morning. I made the appt for Monday night at 6:00 pm, which is the night he told me they had open. His tone had a touch of âwell we are very busy and this is an inconvenient requestâ but making allowance for this not being his first language and wearing a mask I thought nothing of it.
We arrived on Monday and he rudely told us that we had made the appt for Saturday night. I told him that was not possible as we have date night Saturday night and I would not make an appt for that time (and I had made a reservation for a table at a restaurant at the beginning of the week, so clearly I am not mistaken). My daughter was with me when I made the call and she confirmed not only what he told me first but the conversation on the phone. He kept insisting I said Saturday so I tried to give him an out by saying there must have been a misunderstanding because I wouldnât have booked Saturday. He kept insisting it was my mistake. I can see now in the reviews that this happened to other people as well. I asked if we could reschedule and he said again in a discourteous manner as if he was doing me a favor, that nothing is open until Thursday.
So this review is not regarding their actual nail treatments to which I canât speak. However we get two to four deluxe pedicures a month and some occasional manicures. Plus we are good tippers, so that is around $1800 a year we spend on this luxury (which coming to think of it, why are we doing this???) and I am not willing to spend it somewhere we get treated in a rude way.
Updated note to their response: It is not the fact they were booked which made me not want to come back. I take a place being booked as a sign that the service is good and I would rather a place be honest about what they can handle than tell me âyes yesâ and I sit around for an hour. It is the rude and brusk delivery that has been mentioned in other reviews, that made me not even want...
Read moreI have been going to bliss for years. 4 years. Every single time they have been mean, offish, rude, and generally scary. I have had my nails done many times by Jason, Dan, and the older woman who sits in the back corner. The older woman is kind enough, but her shaping us poor and she cuts my cuticles and skin every single time. Dan is snobbish and once actually grimaced at a picture I showed him of a design. When working with someone he likes and is friendly with, usually a young white blond girl, he curses and talks so loudly it reverberates off the walls. But neither of them compare to how awful Jason is. He is legitimately so rude, so unfriendly, and so unwilling to make any changes to his work. He is incredibly impatient, when picking a color he has (multiple times) ROLLED HIS EYES at me because I took more than 30ish seconds deciding. I enter the building, I say hello, I smile, and he barks back âgo wash your hands.â I have asked for a shape to be changed or sharpened and he has either argued with me or just said no at least twice. The reason I have been going back is because I almost always am serviced by Jason, and while heâs rude, he is a fabulous nail artist. He is so talented. It pains me to say it at this point but the nails are long, sharp, perfectly shaped, and done so fast. PRICING: when I started going, 2020, I payed probably 60-70 for a full acrylic set with a simple design. My last and most recent trip I payed 110 for bad shaping by the older woman, and a design done by Dan that left huge visible piles of glue under the gems that were applied to the nails. Like obvious globs of glue. I also had to wait 30+ minutes in between the woman shaping them and Dan painting the design with no apology, no explanation, just âwait over there, hell do the design.â Unfortunately, itâs only worth a visit for Jasonâs work, but itâs violently overpriced, and done by an unprofessional, arrogant man. I just visited a new salon (without naming names, itâs the one by Starbucks in Saratoga) and I payed 80 for PERFECT nails, and in a salon with fabulous welcoming customer service, a bustling atmosphere, and fun music. Donât waste your time and money at bliss for overpriced, stressful...
Read moreExtremely poor customer service!!! The boys at the front are NEVER friendly and are quite rude. Most of my appointments were never on time. I got hung up on by one of them when trying to reschedule. I kept going back because it was close, convenient and did an ok job... but their customer service is close to zero. Not worth the attitude you get from the two boys alone... spend your money at a place that will treat you well.
Since it isn't allowing me to respond to your response - I'll edit my first comment and address your additional items. Couple of things you got wrong there. When I called in, I did not brush anything off and it was actually one of the first things I said to the original person who answered the phone - different person than the one who hung up on me, though I did say sorry to him as well. I directly apologized and told him I had gotten very ill and slept straight through. As soon as I was filling good enough (1.5 business days later), I called in. After my grandma's death and missing that appointment on the same day, I rescheduled with a random girl working there and Anne was bothered by me that I was with someone else, so I scheduled back with her. Also, I never once named names of who ran late for me. I had come in many, many times prior and had random people do my nails. Even though I had appointments scheduled, I don't think I ever had one start on time. It was closer to 10-20 minutes. So, no, I really don't find it all that funny. I appreciated Anne being on time (although, this shouldn't be a special treatment to have your scheduled appointment ready to go.)
I started raising my voice when your son had the audacity to tell me that I am taking advantage of your mom, and that I'm inconsiderate. I come in every time and ask about his grandma and genuinely care that she starts feeling better - so who the hell does he think he is to call me inconsiderate. I've been going to you guys for quite a while and if you check my other appointments, I am always on time, never late. I had 2 situations where my grandma got COVID and died, and another where I was extremely sick. So, I think I am owning my actions - Thanks for your...
