First time to Disney California Adventure Park on 6/8/2023. My husband and 8 year old loved the Grizzly River Run Ride. I knew they were going to get wet on the ride, so before they got in line for it, I collected their hats, sunglasses, smartphones, and anything else that needed to be kept dry and placed them in my backpack. Now if everyone in your party is going on the ride, there are lockers next to the ride to store anything you want to keep dry - just don't forget to come pick them back up after the ride! Note that if you sit by the entrance to the raft, where there is an opening instead of a chair, then you will get the wettest (which is what happened to my son - he was soaked!) It was a warm day so my family dried off just fine walking around. If its a colder time of year or at night, bring extra clothing and store them in a locker at the main entrance in case you are having trouble drying off. Also I suggest that you wear water friendly shoes to the park, which is what my husband did and they dried off much faster than my son's regular shoes. Some people even brought or bought parkas to wear on the ride. On a personal note, I did not go on this ride because it had both drops and spins which make me very ill. Our wait time for the ride was about 15-20 minutes which was more...

Also, if you don't like spinning, I would avoid this ride. It does tend to spin (slowly) the entire time. Also, hit the ride after dark or early morning for short lines and bring a poncho so you don't get too cold and wet. You can pay $5 near the exit to warm up, but what a...
Read moreGreat ride during hot days to cool down and have fun. Not a scary ride at all and it's an awesome ride to go on with a group of friends or family. If you go by yourself it's a little awkward since you'll be sitting with a group of other people in a tightly packed raft. You'll get extremely wet depending on your luck when you go down the two drops. Nicely themed ride with lots of rock work and real redwood trees. Just wished Disney would put in bear animatronics in the ride. After all it's called...
