My husband planned a wonderful and memorable birthday celebration for me which included tours of African American sites in Annapolis. One tour was this incredible museum. Read moreGreat place and friendly staff. I love learning about history and to compare then and know is mindblowing. To see history and hear dialogue from the people in that time is moving. We as a people have to remember that are ancestors worked together to fight for what is right, no matter of skin color. My oldest daughter was moved to see and hear of all the wrongs that actually took place. We read about them and I tell her that yes things are still happening, but people of all shades stood up for what's just then and now. There is a beautiful stained glass created from broken pieces of original stained glass from the church building there that was the start of the museum. The video telling the history of how the church eventually became the museum is interesting but long and difficult to hear at times.
