READ BEFORE SELECTING YOUR SEATS!!! I know it's long but hear me out. I paid quite a lot of money for front row tickets to William Shatner's event as he's one of my heroes. I figured if I bought the best tickets I would be garunteed the best seats, right? Unfortunately not. Instead of being in the actual front row that was built into the theater, I was in a row of what I can only describe as foldable picnic chairs stuck together and placed less than 3 feet from the stage. I had to knock my neck back at a 45 degree angle for 3+ hours and had a speaker directly in front of my face. I could feel sound vibrating in my teeth! I also had visible bruises on both sides of my hips from sitting in a child-sized, wooden framed chair all night. They were bad enough to remain for over a week, and I don't bruise easily. I fit into cramped airline seats just fine. That's how small this space was. I was completely flush with the stranger sitting next to me. I could not extend my legs at all because even when bent my toes were pushed up against the front of the stage. It's incredibly clear that they added these rows to sell several dozen extra tickets for even more money than those who sat further back and got leg room + comfortable chairs (the rows that, from what I can tell, were ORIGINALLY the front rows). The seating charts were purposefully misleading and did not mention the front rows would be this kind of seating despite being so expensive. I'm just so exhausted by greedy business practices squeezing every last dollar out of people just because they can, and in the process worsening an experience they paid hundreds of dollars for. I saved up for months to be able to afford this, it's not like it's a regular thing for me and many others. You can't even follow the "you get what you pay for" rule anymore. It saddens me to write this review because I know the arts are suffering everywhere, but you run on volunteers and still feel the need to take advantage of and hurt people like this? Not cool. (Note: We were in seats 132 and 133 AA. The other rows of added chairs are BB, CC, and...
Read moreHad gotten free tickets from my friend. And I am not into Broadway Musicals nor any for that matter! Lol Decided to check out Wicked last night...and GOOO!!! And that's all I will say about that! Now there are some things I feel everyone should know before going to the show..as I learned in my experience... 1st..You do get drinks 1 hr before the show and at intermission...and they had 2 House Cocktails 1 was the GOOD WITCH (non alcoholic, but you can add alcohol and make it BAD:)..and the other the BAD WITCH (made with a yumm amount of alcohol;)...
Now with ANY drink purchased you have the option of buying the small or larger survivor cups...unfortunately if you want to drink inside the show.. YOU MUST BUY THE 3$ cup ...or you CAN NOT enter the show! So save time! And you can bring the cup back for future shows and never pay that 3$ again.... Next..they offer intermission drink purchases when you order your 1st drink...if you dnt care to wait then just forget it...otherwise this is a thing..I didn't use it...I LIKE FRESH drinks myself;) And finally...the staff is AMAZING and doing their best with who they have...BE PATIENT...especially if you would like a drink. ...The bartenders had said they had a new system and they all are just learning it...so it may take a few extra moments for your order to get rang up, but honestly they are great!
Standing in line one man wasn't happy about some one who had ordered an online drink and she went right up to the bar too ...he let her know how not ok that was after we were all waiting for our turns🙄. But apparently the online drink ordering isn't working so DONT TRY IT at least YET they say.. All in all the show was great! The staff was great! And the Experience was awesome!!! Take the time go to that show and enjoy life! Ihope this helps your future show...
Read moreIt's very long. I apologize. I wish I could give a 0, but I unfortunately can't.
We went to Lion King last night and had a horrible experience. There was a girl behind my husband that wouldn't stop kicking the back of his seat. I didn't know that this was happening or I would have said something sooner. She stopped for a while when an usher talked to her but started up again. His anxiety was going crazy and he had to get up and leave. He is very disabled and it's hard for him to get out of the house. We saved up money and I worked lots of overtime so we could afford these tickets as we spent a lot of money on them. They were Christmas and Birthday gifts for us.
We talked to a "manager" during intermission and it went downhill from there. She found us some different seats that weren't being used but she made a disabled elderly man get up. We were so disgusted by this and said we weren't doing this to that man.
Then she asked if she could try more seats. By this time, we had missed a lot of the second act. We said no and was just going to go home. We asked for a refund or exchange and she said no, all she did was offer to have someone higher up call me. I said no.
I called this morning and the lady said that all she could do was offer us tickets for tonight's show at a discounted price because there were no refunds. I told her that was just rude for her to expect us to give them more of our money for a terrible night, and I hung up the phone.
We both love music and have been to quite a few shows over the years and this is by far the worst experience and service I have ever received.
We may never go back to the PAC, which is...
