Appleton Cigar Co. — Local services in Appleton

I walked into the shop (Oct '24) and was instantly transported back 20 years to when I would spend my lunches, working at a liquor store, smokin' a stog with my lunch at the local shop where I lived.

I was immediately greeted by Rose, who I asked to just let me stand there and take in the environment for 30 seconds. She laughed, but I think she got the nostalgic factors I was feeling.

The shop is straight up old school, with leather couches, chairs, etc around for various smoking areas, and they were definitely being utilized on this Friday afternoon. I've already decided that I will be returning to partake in "enjoy(ing a) fine cigar + (and maybe) quality liquors in the comfort of your living room" in their gorgeous lounge.

Now, we'll get to the nuts of the review, as Rose asked me what she could do for me and I said straight up that I was looking for a recommendation because I'm not really able to do that at local corporate tobacco shops as I am generally more knowledgeable than the workers. She immediately thanked me for just immediately trusting her judgment* and said, "Well, lets go where all the fun is."

We entered the EXTREMELY well stocked humidor and I explained to Rose exactly what I wanted and a price range (that wasn't very limiting) and she IMMEDIATELY said "This is the cigar you want." Well, it was celebratory cigar that I smoked that day, and she was right.

*In hindsight, after a little research, I appreciate Rose's humility as she's an ambassador for multiple cigar brands, and she actually DID NOT recommend one of her ambassadorial brands which is a real positive (and inspires me to try some brands that trust her).

Though I have a feeling I may be a bit out there personality-wise for a lot of traditional cigar stores I hope to come back and spend some time in this beautiful...

I have never felt more welcome and comfortable in a establishment like I do here. I wandered in less then a year ago to check the place out and was instantly greeted and taken care of by Rose. She was not only knowledgeable and helpful in me picking a good cigar and Whiskey, but she introduced me to the regulars. I have since been back numerous times and will continue to do so and I live over two hours away. This is not just a local Cigar lounge it’s a community center and I have met some of the most interesting and cool people. The art of conversation is not dead in this place and if I lived in Appleton I would probably call this place home. Wyatt is also extremely helpful and may have turned me on to my new favorite cigar. Can’t say enough nice things about this place, if your a cigar enthusiast and a whisk(e)y drinker this is a must! You will not be disappointed and if I could leave more then five...

I was in town looking for a place to grab a cigar. I was extremely glad I found Appleton Souvenir and Cigar. When I first walked in I was greeted with a great big smile and welcoming hello from Rose. She walked me into the large humidor and was ready to assist me in finding the perfect cigar. After finding my cigar I grabbed a seat in one of the many comfy leather chairs throughout the lounge. Every single person I encountered both customers and employees were just as welcoming as rose. They made me feel like I belonged here. I also learned that they host game nights such as cards against humanity, cribbage and many others for a fun night of getting the cigar community together.
