I recommend this yarn shop highly as the owner Annie has been so kind and helpful to all customers. I was a customer and took classes when the shop was located in Porter Square a number of years ago and when I first met Annie. If you visit the shop, you will be happy you stopped by.
As far as their classes, I would encourage those anxious to learn new patterns to try other shops. The store is still fairly new to the Arlington Center and I believe they should hire someone who is more dedicated to teaching patterns in a patient manner and not embarrassing them in class.
The women I met in the 4:30- 6:30 class are absolutely a joy to be with. They are full of life and laughter and I will miss them as well as Annie.
The classes are reasonably priced at $120 for 6 classes. Just make sure if there are cancelations due to weather or personal obligations they are made up before joining for 6 more. There are sometimes errors made. February 17th and March 17 were not credited. Monday, April 21st is the beginning of the next set of classes so I decided to not return after careful consideration.
There is still vacancy for 7-9pm classes.
My 3 stars are for Annie and the women in the class.
I wish her the very best success in her shop. It's...

I wasn't able to find any yarn in the same dye color at the store i initially bought it in and had to look for it online. Not only did this store have the exact yarn I needed at a cheaper price, but I also found more yarn that I wanted, had the shipping fee waived, and it got it delivered to me very quickly despite me being several states away. I want to thank not only Minds eye yarn, but also Annie who left me a personal message with my delivery! I will definitely be getting my yarn from here again when I inevitably run...

They have a great selection of Plymouth yarns, but you can find Malabrigo and just so many smaller dyers. The button selection is nice as well. During the annual Greater Boston Yarn Crawl they offer grab bags of mystery yarn and you always get amazing yarn for a low low price. This is also one of the places I first bought a JessaLu project bag. If you're visiting the Boston area as a knitter, this is a must-see and their close proximity to the Red line makes it that...
