Had the worst experience! Called to see if walk-ins were ok and confirmed that it was fine. Came in for a simple manicure. No gel, just clear polish. I was assigned a young man who was quiet and by the end had barely done anything to my nails. He charged me for a pedicure (I later realized) and I tipped 20% off that amount. I left and after getting in my car, took a good look at my nails. They looked horrible. The cuticles hadnāt been touched and the clear nail polish was peeling off on several nails. I decided to go back in and ask for the cuticles to get pushed back and trimmed and the nail polish redone. I was given another person and she did indeed work my cuticles except she made three of my fingers bleed. Almost a week later my cuticles are healing and look awful. To add to the disappointing experience, the person I had spoken to on the phone said, āI saw your L.A. phone number and thought oh great, another tourist who expects to get in right away!ā. I live in Ashland and was sad to be spoken to like that. I didnāt feel very welcome or cared for. When I went back in, I realized the price Iād been charged was incorrect and they gave me back $5. Not going back. Ever.
In response to owner. Iām so happy to support any small business owner and always try to be polite even when being treated poorly or experiencing poor quality service. I did my due diligence by going back back in to request a basic manicure. After the second person made me bleed, it was clear this wasnāt going to be a successful visit and I cut my losses. Itās customary for any manicure to include a gentle pushing back and slight trim of the cuticle. That didnāt happen the first time and then it was overdone the second time. The ātechnicianā knew she made me bleed on three fingers because she applied a treatment to make the bleeding stop. Your business is only as good as the quality of treatment of each client both in terms of attitude and performance. Your trying to shame me in your response rather than take responsibility is further evidence of why your business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLee is lovely as is the place. I went twice. The first time was great- good quality and service. The 2nd time not so much. It was a different girl whose skills were not up to par. It was $115 plus tip for a basic, no frills gel mani/pedi. Thatās pretty steep for what I got. The girl left my nails way to short without asking, left globs of gel and polish on cuticles and half toes unpainted. Lee said I could come back in for a re-do when I reached out saying no refunds because ātheyād already invested the timeā to do my nails. What they forget is that I ALSO invested several hours of my last free day in town and expected the same quality of service Iād received before. Instead I was pushed off onto a girl who needs a lot more training- I watched envious as those around me got lovely massages and I kept waiting for mine. All in all- a nice spa but important to keep an eye on who exactly does your service. I trusted blindly and didnāt realize what a bad job until I saw my nails in the morning light the next day. For $140 total- I think I have the right expectation much much more. Lee is great and I wish her the best of luck. But as a business owner myself I wish she would have stepped up when her...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a gel manicure here a month or so back. The girls working were really sweet (owner was out of town so did not meet her). When asked, I requested "almond" shape based on the style card they had on the wall, which was the same shape they were when I came in. Instead, they were filed very narrowly and pointy and a few of them were crooked. Also, I previously had on dip polish done at another salon and after removing it, only a very thin layer of gel was applied to them. I've had gel polish on my nails too many times to count over the years and this was a very thin layer. I did not receive a hand lotion massage as part of my full manicure but they were running behind and the other person after me had already been waiting, so I didn't ask. When I got home, I first thing I did cut off the pointy tips and even out the shape. I wasn't as worried about the thin gel since cutting the pointy tips off made my nails quite a bit shorter. Within a few days, 3 of them had broken. I ended up cutting them all off. If it wasn't for the very chatty nail tech who was talking to me while the other tech did my nails, the experience would have been terrible, but she was so fun and cool so that's why I gave it...
