Last December, I attended the Small Business Expo at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart, and I’ll be back again when it returns on December 10, 2025—because when something consistently delivers growth, partnerships, and game-changing insights, it becomes a non-negotiable in your strategy.
As a Forbes Influencer, top e-learning industry provider, and global speaker, I’m always looking for collaborations and clients. The Small Business Expo has been one of the best ways to expand my network and unlock opportunities. In fact, I’ve attended three expos so far and will be at six in 2025, traveling to New York, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston. That’s how valuable this event has been for my business!
Here’s what made Atlanta’s event stand out and what you need to know:
The Venue & Atmosphere The Convention Center at AmericasMart is a dynamic space with a strong presence of local Atlanta businesses and industry leaders from across the country. It was well-structured and full of energy, but a heads-up—it was chilly inside! Bring a jacket, especially if you’re dressed for networking.
Food & Happy Hour One of my favorite details? Chick-fil-A and a Mexican à la carte vendor were on-site, making sure no one had to step away from the action to grab a meal. The happy hour setup was beautifully done—an exclusive setting that made closing out the day with new connections feel even more powerful.
Travel & Logistics For those flying in like me, getting there was a breeze—just a quick 20-minute Lyft ride from the airport. But take it from my experience—make sure your driver drops you at the right entrance! I got out too soon and had to walk in the cold, which wasn’t ideal (especially for those of us in heels). Look for the Small Business Expo signage before stepping out!
🤝 Networking & Insights Speed networking was hands-down the best $25 I’ve spent. The connections made have already paid dividends for my business, bringing in partnerships with hotels, workshop providers, Google Ads strategists, bakers, photographers, and more. One small tech note: If you’re seated against the back wall during speed networking, the WiFi can be spotty. But in the vendor area, it’s perfect.
A Great Spot for Follow-Ups One underrated part of the experience? The available benches. While waiting for my flight, I used the time to relax, review notes, and send out follow-ups in a comfortable setting with strong internet. It’s small details like this that make the event experience seamless and productive.
Why You Should Go in 2025 If you’re an entrepreneur, business owner, or industry leader, this event needs to be part of your end-of-year strategy. I’ve seen firsthand how the right rooms lead to the right conversations—and this is one of those rooms. The connections, insights, and opportunities are worth making the trip.

We attended the Zahi Hawass lecture in Building 2, 1st floor. The access to parking was good but a bit expensive. The venue itself seemed fine - easy entry, was able to handle the number of attendees well. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was plenty of seating. Then the event started.
The place is not at all suited for a lecture hall. There are huge - 5' across - support columns throughout the room, so unless you were in the "VIP" section or right in the center there were large sections of seats with poor to no visibility of the speaker. It's a flat room with a concrete floor and an industrial ceiling, so the acoustics are terrible. The sound system they brought in was poorly thought out and even more poorly executed, so it was not up to the task at all. If you could hear the speaker, the resultant echo, poor speaker placement, and lack of sufficient speakers meant that half of what he said would be very difficult to hear or understand. I have heard this man speak before in a different venue and when he's in a good hall with a good PA system he's easily understood. Additionally, there did not appear to be anyone actually running the system, so the levels varied dramatically when the lecture went into a question and answer session. Despite an excellent and fascinating speaker, the choice of venue turned this into...
