I went & saw Benson Boone here (spectacular, ethereal, will never recover), and it was my first time at the venue. It was stunning! Beautiful theatre, with an old town vibe, but be warned: it is VERY HOT in there! I’m not sure if there’s AC or not, but I’ve never been to such a hot concert. Event staff was handing out water the entire time to people in the standing room area, which was awesome. I was sweating before it started. I sat in front row of section 301, which is second mezzanine because I’m not a standing-room-only kind of gal, & my view was awesome. I’m not sure if there are elevators up, but there are fairly steep stairs down the sections. The acoustics were awesome! The merch area was in a saloon concert hall style room down the first set of stairs, & it was packed but wide open with cocktail tables all over. There were large open bars along both sides, & mini bars everywhere. Singles are $11 & doubles are $24, but I was given my drink in the shaker the bartender made it in & was told I’d get $2 off my next one if I brought it back. I didn’t get another, but I’m sure he wasn’t lying lol. I didn’t get food so I don’t know what that’s like but I saw pizza going around. I went alone, and the area is not the best. Be cautious of where you park & be sure to look around at all times. The LAZ offered by the venue has small spaces but it’s doable. Big trucks— don’t bother. Standing room only (general admission) lines wrap around the block hours before the doors open so if that’s your vibe, be very very early! If you want a shorter line, DONT bring a bag!! There was a much shorter line for people without bags. Staff checked IDs before you even walked in, & I give them credit for having the whole experience down to a science. Overall 9/10 experience, I’ll...
Read moreI had the best time seeing Oneus at The Tabernacle. The venue is beautiful and the staff is very friendly! I was seated in the N row on the rear floor next to the tech area and had a fantastic view of the stage and performance. The sound was incredible all throughout the venue, they provide screens to those on the balcony in case they cannot see the stage directly, there were no issues with the sound or lights.
This venue is right beside Atlanta's famous sky wheel and is also across the street from the Centennial Olympic Park. It is a very convenient place to be and security was very thorough and solid. We were being harassed outside but security immediately stepped in and solved the problem quickly and efficiently. Their security guards were fantastic last night. They were extremely helpful and they did everything they were supposed to do.
The only issue with this venue is the women's bathroom on the first floor behind the first staircase. It was clean and everything was in order except for the locks. The stalls at The Tabernacle do not lock. I had to switch stalls three times before I found one where I thought it would lock shut. I had to hold the door closed while using the restroom as did three other women who entered. Otherwise, this venue is beautiful, safe, in a fantastic spot and provided ToMoon with a welcoming environment we would return to without hesitation.
Thank you for hosting Oneus and providing ToMoon with an unforgettable experience, Tabernacle. Much love...
Read moreVaried Impressions, Attended a Comedy Show
I recently attended a comedy show at this venue and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. We were seated on the sides, which allowed us a unique view of the performance. The architecture of the venue itself is quite intriguing and adds to its charm. However, I must admit that the seating arrangement wasn't the most comfortable, and this discomfort was exacerbated by the summer heat.
On the plus side, the staff was incredibly friendly and displayed courteousness throughout our visit. One interesting feature was the VIP room, which caught my attention. If you're someone who prefers to arrive early, enjoy drinks in a peaceful setting, and unwind before the show, the VIP room might be a valuable option.
Nonetheless, I found myself encountering a notable issue during the evening. The sound quality in the 200 section, located on the sides right by the stage, left something to be desired. The prevalence of echoes made it challenging to fully grasp the comedians' performances, leading to moments of difficulty in understanding their jokes and anecdotes.
In conclusion, my experience at this venue for the comedy show had its positives and drawbacks. The unique architecture and the attentive staff were definite highlights, while the uncomfortable seating, summer heat, and subpar sound quality near the stage were areas that could use improvement. If these issues are addressed, it has the potential to be an even more enjoyable entertainment...
