I'm Just gone say this and the school may not like me for it and that is fine but, I get my degree in October. The entire Admin Staff is a Hot Mess at times. about 85 percent of the things we were taught were mostly taught using youtube video's, yes the same vids you can look up on google and at home and teach yo self...those! They only have a small segment of business discussion , very little. They try to show you things but its obvious this a degree mill. Plus even though we finish school in october, get this they pushing back our graduation ceremony for my class a full year before we walk while there is a ceremony actually in the same month they could put us in? These are just some of the conflicts you will have. And first term Teacher, No one understand's him he is a great engineer but definitely no a great at teaching or it wouldn't be less than 40 percent for the job rate for this field. You gone learn something not everything and definitely not worth a waste of a $30 to $35,000 Loan. You dont get a refund check until the end of the year?.....where they do that at? this is not even the main issues guys...just...dont waist ya time unless u getting a diploma or some than u good cause its just a hobby. They may say set schedule when you come in but dont be fooled the next term some teacher gone quite gotta hire another one than its very unlikely that time slot will be available again for class. They change things without acknowledging the students of any changes. I am literally just here at this point. Mark my attendance please! Now the school does have famous producers and AR people come to tell you about the field or sign up for a intern. My conclusion, The school needs to go back to the drawing board. You need a committed staff not a scary, oblivious staff. it's more of an open club than a school. However, Fullsail has a 79 percent success rate at making sure there graduates are in the field after they graduate, even tho that school is 90,000 bucks, it's a great...
Read moreDon’t waste your money or your FAFSA coming here! At first I loved this school but as the terms went on I just started seeing their high turn over rate with their administration. The head financial aid lady Christina or whatever her name is has a nasty attitude. I’m not the only student who has complained about. Everytime I had to go talk to the student advisor Yvonne she would roll her eyes and act like she was bothered by me. I’m a soft spoken person so every single time she would grunt I can’t hear you can you speak louder just mean and nasty! Nobody shows up on time but in orientation they are telling us to be on time PUHLEASE. My professor left us hanging midterm and I don’t even remember learning anything during my studio production class. He picked up a better paying job and in my opinion set us up for failure because he could have at least made sure the canvas was set up correctly. My love for this school slowly faded away and it was so hard for me to even find the energy or will power to go to class because I hated the way they treated me up there whenever I needed help. Oh yeah they tell you to look for jobs while you are still in school because majority of the students that graduate here have a very hard time finding a job within the industry it’s not impossible but some students have graduated years ago and they say they still haven’t found work. The administration has huge issues they need to fix because it’s trickling over to how they treat the students. And don’t let me get started on whenever you book studio time on certain days it’s a 50/50 chance that the tech office will be closed or someone shows up super late. For the amount of money people are paying an iPad and some headphones is not enough for the “tech” package. This school is a joke! Edited: Before I transferred to another school I sent a email to Chris with all of my concerns and he never even responded!!! Most of the administrators could care less about the students...
Read moreIt's great as far as studio and gear comes along but they had have staffing issues since Ive been there with the staff seem to constantly change up and be gone. The first time I attended here for a audio diploma I was not that happy about it. I felt like I could have taught everything myself by the amount of YouTube videos I was shown during my time there and that it was a waste. Also, they were quite relentless about terms just going back to back with absolutely no breaks in-between so it was very easy to get burned out.
Now for the time I decided to go back and get my degree, they had a complete overhaul with their program and the staffing was a lot more stable and they decided to break down each subject instead of trying to jam everything under one topic which helped people understand the subjects better. They also decided to give breaks between terms as well so students can get proper rest and recovery.
All in all, it's hard to give this school a solid recommendation because there are a lot of factors that come into play for attending this location. If you're looking to become a music producer, this school is not for you.
If you're looking to become versatile in the music industry by being able to run studio seesions, mix tracks, set up live audio and get a better understanding of sound, then this is...
