Read moreWe were there on a Saturday around noon. Luckily, there was plenty of street parking ($2 an hour. All nearby spots were gone by ~1pm). And the ferris wheel had no line.
We had a Groupon voucher for “Ferris Wheel Family and Friends Package of 4 Tickets” which cost $40. At regular ticket price, this would cost us $14.75 * 4 = $59 + tax. So it’s a ~50% discount. When I presented the Groupon voucher at the ticket window, we were asked to pay a tax of $3.56 for our voucher (this was stated on Groupon voucher so no issue).
The online research shows you get to ride 4 rounds. However, the ticket office staff told us 3 rounds. But the actual ride did go 4 rounds. Actual end to end experience was about 15 minutes, more or less aligned to what they stated on their website (7-12 minutes). This heavily depends on how many guests are there as they have to stop the wheel to allow guests to go in and out of the car/gondola.
It’s kind of sad that the Club Wyndham Atlanta high rise building now is their very next door neighbor, so riders lose a portion of the South side of the view to the city. But it still offers a very decent view to all other directions of the beautiful city of Atlanta!
The group photo package bundle cost ~$37, very expensive, although it looked nice, we didn’t purchase it. If I remember correctly, this gives you all physical and digital copies of the photos.
Overall, we had a good experience and will recommend SkyView Ferris Wheel to...

LOVED this ride! Sitting way up high, you can see everything—Centennial Olympic Park, the Aquarium, the World of Coke, and the whole Atlanta skyline. I mean… I was so high up, you’d think I was floating off something stronger than just joy. Call me Chief because I was sky-high, OK?! 😂
Now, I’ll admit—my friend was a little scared (OK, low-key panicking), but the ride itself goes nice and slow, and each gondola is enclosed with A/C. I say “A/C” lightly though, because while there is air conditioning, it definitely could use an upgrade. It gets a little stuffy, especially if you’re thinking too hard about how high up you are. Not ideal if you’re even slightly claustrophobic.
In fact, there’s literally a sign at the bottom warning people with claustrophobia to skip the ride. And I agree—this is NOT the one for you unless you’re medicated, spiritually centered, or maybe a glass of wine deep. If not, you might find yourself asking for a 9-1-1-style exit. 😅
But for the rest of us—this ride is fire. You get about five minutes of amazing views, and it’s totally worth the ticket. I had so much fun and would definitely do it again. Highly recommend it for visitors, date night, or just a fun break in the city.
