I wanted to take a moment to provide feedback on my recent visit to your dental clinic. Having been a recurring patient, I felt compelled to sit down and contemplate the overall experience before sharing my thoughts.
To begin with, I must say that my first visit to your clinic was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone was genuinely friendly and cordial. I left with a positive impression and high hopes for my future visits. Sadly, my most recent encounter shattered those expectations.
As usual, the majority of the staff displayed exceptional professionalism and care during my routine cleaning and prepping for additional dental work. However, I cannot say the same about Dr. Patel. In contrast to the rest of the team, she failed to exhibit the qualities of good customer service and, to make matters worse, was extremely condescending in her demeanor.
I firmly believe that, as healthcare professionals, it is your responsibility to provide comprehensive recommendations and advice to your patients, considering their overall well-being. Unfortunately, Dr. Patel's approach seemed to be riddled with reluctance and an unwillingness to consider alternative options. Instead of offering solutions, she appeared combative and argumentative, leaving me feeling dismissed and disrespected.
In light of this disheartening experience, I took the liberty of speaking to the manager about the issue. It is worth mentioning that the manager, whom I found to be extremely nice and sympathetic, was genuinely concerned about my dissatisfaction. I made it clear to him that I no longer wish to be treated by Dr. Patel and would prefer to explore other dental practices.
I trust you can understand how important it is for patients to have a sense of trust, respect, and comfort with their healthcare providers. Unfortunately, Dr. Patel's unprofessional conduct has left a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. Therefore, I have begun my search for an alternative dentistry that aligns with my expectations and delivers the level of care I deserve.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I believe that your clinic has the potential to rectify the situation and provide the exceptional experience I had initially encountered. I encourage you to address these issues to ensure the utmost satisfaction and well-being of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time I went to this office for my new patient exam and routine cleaning, I never actually saw a doctor. In fact, the hygienist was the only person there that is worth mentioning (Tara is great!). Dr. George came in and basically told me that he had an emergency and that I would have to get my exam on my follow-up appointment...and that was that.
Strictly for convenience, I returned to get a filling a month later. This time Dr. Nichols (who is no longer there) came in and did my procedure. Not only was she thorough and inviting...she also had a broken hand! I was blown away by the overall customer service and attentiveness that she displayed. Probably because she stood out like a sore thumb in comparison to the other doctor.
Fast forward a year later and I went to get routine x-rays and cleaning this morning. There is a new front desk lady that I had never met before that was a delight!!! After my cleaning, low and behold Dr. George walks in, makes a B-line to the monitor to look at the x-rays, then....without a greeting, he begins to do a less than thorough exam and leaves before I could ask any questions, 2 minutes tops! He lacks people skills, and lacked finesse when he began what was considered an exam. Although I am not at all nervous to go to the dentist....a simple warning when you pull my tongue, or press firmly on the bottom of my mouth would greatly be appreciated. Instead he said nothing of the sort which resulted in me gagging. Dr. George is probably a nice guy who is qualified to do his job, however both encounters with him only left me viewing him being less than charming, dismissive and quite unwelcoming.
As I stated previously, Dr. Nichols was the only reason I stayed at this train wreck of an establishment, but since she is gone I was forced to schedule a follow-up appointment today after my cleaning. I will absolutely be cancelling that appointment. Unfortunately I have to give at least one star to leave a review, in actuality I would leave no star if it were possible. Downtown Atlanta Dentistry could use a crash course on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a patient here for a year and will not be going back to this office. While the staff is nice, the two female dentists I've seen here only seem to be interested in making profits. I had a simple extraction but found out it was billed as a "surgical extraction" when in fact it wasn't. I was in the chair for 30 minutes, received no stitches, and was initially told I would only need a simple extraction. There was never any mention by the dentist of me needing the tooth surgically removed and I ended up receiving a bill for the balance of $140.00. Every time I go for a cleaning, I am told that I need extensive work. I have always taken care of my teeth since childhood and brush and floss twice daily. My cleaning yesterday was the last straw. I saw a completely different dentist (don't even know her name) and was told I have 7 cavities, need to have one, possibly two, of my crowns ripped out and re-done, that I'm just a high risk for dental caries, and that I must not be flossing and must eat a lot of candy and sugary sweets and drink lots of sugary drinks, NONE OF WHICH ARE TRUE. I'm definitely getting a second opinion and have already made an appointment with another dentist. Unless you are a long time patient of Drs. Phillips, STAY AWAY.
UPDATE: To add fuel to this fire, I called this office today to request that my x-rays be emailed to another dentist. The staff member I spoke to was completely rude and unprofessional, and pointed out "you are the one who left us a bad review...I'm looking at your x-rays and 2 of your teeth definitely have issues." I nicely replied that I am aware that my teeth are not perfect and that I simply would like a second opinion, and would possibly return to their office if all of the issues their dentist found were confirmed. She basically said the only way they would ever treat me again is if I removed this comment, which has further confirmed that I will not be going back. I went to another dentist downtown who was great. She dismissed a lot of the work they said I needed, including a root...
