I'm a NY transplant on the search for a new brow place. I understand, I was very spoiled in NY. $8 for amazing threading and the service, although may not be the friendliest, was efficient and precise. I now reside in ATL and I'm still on the hunt for a home for my brows.
I was trying this place out while waiting for brunch reservations. Here's my honest review:
Rating: 3.5/5, overall good
Pros: A lot of parking (free) available, quick and friendly service, affordable prices ($10 for eyebrow threading), options for aftercare (i.e. Witch Hazel, Aloe), already great reviews
Cons: My only con is that I specifically explained to the threader that I did not want her to change my brow shape, only clean them up. She explained to me that she understood. Once I saw the end result, I explained to her that she ended up giving them a "new shape" and took too much off the sides. I am also in the beauty industry and understand that the customer knows what they want when it comes down to hair/brows.
Overall: Despite not feeling completely satisfied, the threader seemed to understand my dissatisfaction and didn't ask for a tip. I give her the benefit of the doubt as I don't believe that she meant any harm and I'm sure she is good at what she does. I can't quite say if I'll be back or not. Either way, I would suggest anyone give it a...
Read moreIf you've ever gone to get your brows done and you told the esthetician "I want my brows thick because that's how they grow," and yet when you've finished you then have to wait two weeks before you can feel like your face is whole again...you understand the importance of a good esthetician who completely understands the IMPORTANCE of how brows can really make a world of difference in your appearance!
With that being said, Munira is a life saver for me! I do not where makeup so my brows are extremely important to me! She understands the shape of my face and exactly how I like my brows, and she delivers. Even in moments where my brows may have thin spots from uneven growth or hairs falling out, she doesn't thread my brows to half the thickness or have me wait until they grow in. She is so amazing that she can still shape them well until those spots get thicker.
Finding a good esthetician can be an excruciating process. So if you're looking for an awesome person who knows what she's doing, go see Munira...and then get chicken fingers, or veggies, or both next door...
Read moreI called around 4 (I think) on a Thursday to ask if Naz was working based on the great reviews I read online. I talked to Naz on the phone and she told me they were closing at 4 but that she'd wait for me. Thankfully I live nearby so was able to get there in a few minutes, but I appreciated the willingness to wait as I hadn't had my brows threaded since before quarantine and my brows grow like wildfire so were very overdue. I walked in and she had them looking tops within a few minutes. I believe she wore a mask, and there is a sign that says you have to wear a mask to get any service, just FYI. They also had hand sanitizer at the register. She told me about a package of 3 for $24 I think, when normally the price is $10 per session (not 100% sure on that but the pack is a couple dollars discount and never expires). When I go back next week I will be purchasing the pack. Glad I'm able to find a great brow lady so close to home. I'd just recommend calling before you go as their Google hours differ from Covid hours, like many...
