This is among our very favorite kids' spaces! After attending an awesome birthday party at Oodazu, we decided to sign up for the after school sessions.
We had initially been hesitant - our young 4 year old daughter loves the playground, but is always reluctant to go down big slides, or get pushed too high (or at all) on the swings, and only likes bouncy castles when there are just a few tired kids left in there. She’s active, but VERY cautious, haha!
On her first day at Oodazu, she was inspired to climb/scale the walls and towers, had the energy to drag the tires up the huge slide (with the help of a friend), and clearly had an incredible time. Most impressive - she was in the most upbeat and positive mood after Oodazu (a level of cheerfulness that lasted all day and that doesn’t compare to her days with dance, tennis or swim classes, which she also loves).
The space is functional, and also modern and creative. There are a ton of activities to get kids moving and exploring - but without the chaos of the typical kids’ indoor gyms/playgrounds. The staff are exceptionally warm and attentive - there aren’t many places I feel comfortable leaving my child, but this is one of the very few.
We tried the kids’ yoga classes - we haven’t found anything like it nearby in Atlanta. The yoga teachers keep the kids engaged for 45 minutes (without parents!) in the very chill yoga studio, doing real yoga postures specifically for kids - while I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the screen outside in amazement. We’ll...
Read moreSomething didn’t sit right with me! I’m not sure if it was a race issue or prejudice. I inquired about using the space for my sons 1 year old birthday party with 12 children! We requested to rent the location for $1750 for 5 hours ! They agreed to this deal. We did a walk through, we were satisfied. We sent out invitations to everyone. Less than 24 hour later. The owner calls and says They were not staffed enough for 12 children and “insurance”. He said insurance doesn’t cover 12 people in the building. We said we wouldn’t have alcohol.I explained to him that we didn’t mind sharing the space with other families. The only thing would be our Dj playing children’s music The owner kept giving excuses. FYI , the Saturday schedule is clear from 11am - close! I checked online and no one had booked for the day we wanted. The owner referred us to another kids play area, which we payed less and got a bigger place with more kids and only two Staff! Something didn’t feel right ! They are fake and not nice at all to people of color . The rejection was a...
Read moreJust had my sons 5th and 1st bday here. Super fun place. They have trampolines with basketball goals and completely surrounded with netting for safety. There are several climbing walls, a giant slide, huge foam “buildings” to climb. There’s virtual reality that the kids loved! The best part of it all is how well staffed they are. There’s someone at each station to help kids strap on their harness and get started with each activity. And if your kid needs to unwind, there’s yoga!! They have yoga classes for kids! There’s parent night out options! For birthday parties, they handle it all if you want them to. We showed up with a cake and that’s all. They supplied the decorations, balloons, food, paper products, even a candle and lighter! My only suggestion would be for them to invest in a couple of high chairs. It was slightly difficult for the babies to eat and for my 1 year old to do his smash cake. But, we...
