Aviary Beauty + Wellness Summerhill — Attraction in Atlanta

The BEST salon in Atlanta! I don't write reviews but I just had to this time. I have been going to the Aviary since 2019 for hair color and facials. Back then it was my first experience shifting in to a "clean" salon and I didn't imagine how incredible it was going to be not only for my health but also for my self care journey. The salon's atmosphere is everything that you would want it to be and more.. relaxing, beautiful and welcoming. Victoria has done my hair since then and It absolutely transformed it from brittle and over processed in to a healthy, long and vibrant one. Sophie is my favorite for facials. Not only my face looks rested, clear, glowing and hydrated when I leave but I also feel internally renewed as well. The products they use are top of the line and you can actually see long lasting results. It's like a facial for the soul! Thank you Aviary for existing!!!!

June 28th- UPDATE: I went in (again) for a facial with Sophie, and even though I've already had previous amazing experiences having facials with her, this one was even more incredible. I had been traveling for the last month and my skin really needed a rescue. It had "freaked out" with the use of so many different PHs of tap water around the country. She evaluated my skin and then proceeded with different treatments. After some deep cleanse, extractions, different machines and her magical hands, I must say my skin got a real reset. Ok. Wow. Just absolutely wow. I don’t even have words to describe how truly TRANSFORMING my experience was here. 💕 I haven’t had a hair cut in about 7 years. I wanted a big change and picked a style that I knew was going to be quite challenging for me to pull off, let alone a stylist who was a complete stranger to me and my hair. I am SO picky with my hair. I was a scene kid for years and my hair is my whole life.

It would be amazing if the true experience matched the luxury services advertised - the reality is I was paying close to $200 for a haircut here and tolerating my scalp being scalded & frozen for too long.

They can’t get their hot / cold water issues fixed, but the stylists always have a reason handy.

The last straw was their scheduling practices - 3 times, they reached out the day before (or day of) to ask me to move my appt time. When I set an appt time, it is an agreement - I’m paying you for services at X time and you provide services at that time. I am beholden to pay cancellation fees if I late cancel or miss my appt - where is the accountability when your stylists waltz out 10 mins after I walk in & I can hear them laughing and shooting the breeze in the back?
