Last night was probably the biggest night of my comedy career. I finally filmed my first TV special to prepare for this moment after 15 years of doing comedy I decided to book a blowout and make up appointment at tinte over a month before the special day. I was referred to Tinte by a friend. Then a week before the appointment Tinte texts me and says that the make up artist is doing a wedding, and I can no longer do make up with them, but offer some names of some outside make up artists. I hire one immediately, and then I end up having to pay a traveling fee for them to come to me, which could’ve been avoided If my make up appointment hadn’t been canceled so close to the date. I show up to Tinte on Saturday afternoon 10 minutes before my scheduled time to make sure that I could park and be ready to go. I only had about an hour and a half until I had to go meet this Make Up person at the venue. I get there I’m waiting my hairstylist Cher Dryce tells me that she’ll be with me any second while I watch her just begin to rinse color out of the client before me. 10 or 15 minutes more go by I’m getting anxious because of my show anxiety and I’m also a new first time mom Who doesn’t get out much to pamper themselves right now and I even booked a scalp massage with my blowout so I could really relax and try to enjoy my special day but because the appointment was taking so long to get started I had to cancel that portion of my appointment. When it was finally my turn Char knocks on the glass to get my attention to tell me to sit in her chair which I found rude. She never introduced herself never asked me what my name was. I sit down in the chair for the consult and she asks me how do I want my hair and I said I think just kind of down and curly or wavy but I’m not sure and I was so flustered by the the appointment not starting on time I couldn’t make a clear sentence and then she just says “oh OK so you don’t really care.” I didn’t like her attitude. I didn’t like how cold she was and how she didn’t even introduce herself And honestly seemed annoyed, she had to be in my presence. the next thing that happens is she asks me to go sit at the shampoo bowl while she is at the other end of bowls still working in her other clients hair. I then go up to the front desk ask for someone else because I’m not gonna spend my special day in someone’s chair who clearly has an issue with me or doesn’t like me or doesn’t want to do my hair today so this other stylist named Lindsay, who was a sweetheart took me to her chair and gave me my blowout and the best part of this whole situation. From start to finish I did not feel happy or cared about at this place. Lindsay was sweet. She did her best but I just I don’t think I should’ve had to pay full price for such a poor experience on top of the reschedule of the make up. And I know I’m probably projecting some of my preshow jitters onto the situation but we all deserve to be treated with respect. Period. everything is so expensive right now and the fact that we are trying to continue to support small businesses and go out and get our hair done for God knows how much money the least you guys could do is be kind. I’m a postpartum mom I don’t know my hormones are everywhere. I don’t recognize my body and it’s hard to feel good about myself and I just wanted to have a nice day and do this really cool thing and it was...
Read moreI’ve followed Yvette through two salons now, and seeing her at this new BEAUTIFUL, upscale salon at The Works just confirmed why she’s worth it every single time. I went for my first appointment here and left feeling absolutely overjoyed. The entire experience was beyond relaxing — from start to finish.
She refreshed my roots and we warmed up my color for the season (and because I’ll be giving birth soon and might not make it in as often as I’d like). As always, she was right on cue with exactly what I wanted and needed. She never misses. My color is always perfect, and I leave feeling amazing every single visit.
What made this appointment extra special was the relaxing head massage and the incredible products they use at the salon. I genuinely didn’t want to leave the chair. If you’re looking for someone who truly listens, delivers flawless results, and makes you feel your best — highly recommend booking your next service...
Read moreAshley Bansemer is INCREDIBLE!!!! I’m the typical, unfortunate tale of someone that came in with beyond fried hair from a previous salon. The color I walked in with was uneven (that’s putting it lightly), brassy, and absolutely nowhere near what I wanted. I had lost a ton of hair and it was just completely wrecked. Ashley spent so much time going over everything during my consultation and went over everything again before we got started on my actual appointment day. She spent HOURS on my hair and was so meticulous. There were MANY different processes that had to happen to try and blend my color nicely. The result is so much better than I expected. I honestly can’t believe how pretty she made the color, especially with what I started with. I left the salon with soft hair that you wouldn’t know had been in shambles before I came in. I’m so beyond impressed with her and am...
