If you love your natural hair and is on a natural hair care journey, please do not come to Ulta for a trim. I booked a “master stylist” taleeyah k, assuming that a “master stylist” has more experience, but I was wrong. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by the stylist and she asked me what cut I wanted. I said I only want a trim, it’s been about 9 weeks and I just want a little trim off, cause my hair has been growing out of a “BLUNT CUT”. She sit me down and proceeded with the service. I came with “freshly blow dry hair” that was blow dry where you can clearly see that I didn’t need much cut off. After the service, I went home to straighten my hair and, I seen what damage that was done to my hair. I call her the next day and she told me she put LAYERSSSSSSS IN MY HAIR, cause I told her the cut was uneven and not a clean cut! Here is the problem, not one time did she communicate with me when she was trimming my hair that, she was putting layers and it. As you can see in the picture I have a blunt cut. I have 1 piece in the middle of my head head that’s shorter cause that piece was damaged. She told me she took it upon herself to start to put LAYERSSSSSS IN MY HAIR , and not even ask if I wanted that. As a hair stylist when you are observing a client hair , you ask what the client wants you just don’t assume, cause I didn’t even have layers and my hair to begin with, so why do that? Then she literally CUT the FRONT on my hair that didn’t need that to be doneeeee!! Not one time did she ask! I don’t like layers cause it takes away from the fullness of your hair. Now I hate my hair , I feel so ugly wearing it out, cause I’ve been through a lot by getting my hair back on track by giving it the proper care it needs just for “master stylist” to tell me I’ve should’ve straightened my hair to get a clean cut and the stylist was lacking accountability. Now I have to wait till it grows back and goes to so one who knows what they doing. Lastly, when I came up there the next day she had a client come in for a cut. And you know what she asked her and not me “DO YOU WANT LAYERS IN YOUR HAIRRRRRR”. And the only reason she asked that question was because of my situation. SMH PLEASE,...

Was browsing for facial products when the lady approached me about a facial. Decided to give it a try and made a 6:30 pm appointment to have "The Dermalogica® Skin FacialTreatment." Arrived at 6:20 and was told to have a seat. It was obvious that she had just started a customer for a full make-up session. Then another client arrived for a waxing appointment for 6:30 as well. At about 6:40 (after me hovering near her) she put me in the room, which was filthy! I sat for 10 minutes and she came back and turned a steamer on and told me to lay down. She rushed out so fast and didn't ensure that it was lined up appropriately on my face. My sister went to get her after 20 minutes (the steamer had shut off) and she rushed in and started on my face without washing her hands. I didn't hear the water running and I wasn't sure if she washed them outside of room so I kept quiet. She left again and returned and I asked her if she washed her hands and she said yes!! Well my sister was in the room with me and snapped this picture of her obviously UNWASHED hands!! I will not return to have this service done again, because not only did she lie, she didn't practice basic proper handwashing and the room was filthy. Plus she clearly overbooked appointments trying to be greedy I guess. I uploaded the picture showing that she obviously didn't wash her hands, because she was still working on the...
Read moreI usually prefer to shop at Ulta for their variety of both higher quality and more affordable products. I also like browsing the store in the event that I need a new product, so that I can try out different brands/colors before making the investment.
This location, however, I will not visit again. Multiple salespeople hovered around me my entire visit, probably assuming that I was going to steal something. Two of them repeatedly approached me asking if I needed help in a suspicious tone, literally not even waiting 2 minutes in between each inquiry.
One of the salespeople, after asking me three time whether I wanted help which I politely denied, ended up walking over to me and aggressively tried to make my decision for me when I was taking too long to pick out a product for her taste. She didn't even listen to what I said I wanted when she forced the conversation and kept trying to hand me things that didn't make sense. Very rude and inconsiderate. I literally walked away from her and would have left the store without my $60+ purchase had these not been items I needed in the immediate future. I also probably would have bought a couple other items I was considering, but it was incredibly uncomfortable to browse and I just left with the items that I needed.
Bottom Line: Save yourself an irritating experience and either order online or go to the Buckhead location for a better...
