I am surprised after looking at so many bad reviews here. Out of the 3 dining halls at Georgia Tech, this is my least favorite. But even then I'd say the food and ambience here is pretty good. It has an open seating with full sized glass windows to let in lots of light. It is spread across 2 floors and there's also private room seating and outdoor seating. The ambience is really calming. There are several serving counters with a variety of foods with weird names like tech tacqueria. It's all you can eat buffet style eating with optional take home box if you are on certain everyday meal plans. There's a place with 3 types of pizzas and 2 types of pastas and sauces. Then there are 2-4 Asian food options. 2-3 burger patties and chips/fries. 3-4 Mexican food choices and 2-3 fried continental options. There's a separate salad, sweets and deserts section. They also have varieties of drinks, juices, milk and deserts. Then there are breakfast yoghurt, bread, waffle options. The variety is enough to suit everyone's taste buds and has options to cover all types of allergies / dietary preferences. The taste isn't the best in my opinion but it ain't bad either. They shuffle the options every day and you can check the menu in the nutrislice app on your phone. The door rates are as follows (as of 2023): Breakfast: 9.95$ (upto 10:30am) Lunch: 12.75$ (upto 6pm not sure) Dinner: 16.00$ I'd say it is pretty affordable given these rates considering you can eat as much as you want. Everyday plans however cost you 2700$ a semester which comes out to roughly 25$ a day. So you would need to go at least twice or thrice each day to make it worth it.

We were touring GT campus and lots of students were recommending us to eat here ! I actually liked it . Students eat in north Avenue campus and the west side is Mnuchin better in my opinion ! Lots of seats inside to sit and eat . They have a couple of floors . Good and fresh food / pizza / ice creams / desserts etc . I also like the outside seating . Nice and airy .. only disadvantage is the long walk from east campus . It took us about 20 mins or more to take a casual stroll . If not for waking this place is really good . 4 stars for the food and service . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sometimes thr food is good, always try to check nutrislice app before going inside. 3rd floor refill coffee is rarely working. Pizza crust is often overcooked. The best food served here Fried chicken, which is not healthy. There is often mislabeled food and there is redundancy between food stations. (All of them serve beans and rice.) They serve chicken wings with feathers sometimes

tldr: sodexo screwed over the students on West campus with West Village due to their greed. DO NOT purchase a meal plan if you are on west campus unless you want small portions, overpriced options, semi-burnt food, long wait times for food, running out of certain options, etc. Honestly don't purchase a meal plan even if you're not on West campus so you don't support such a greedy deceitful company like sodexo. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I am a 4th year student who has purchased the unlimited meal plan every semester that I have been at Gatech because I was happy with the community restaurants. However, closing down Woodruff dining hall along with Westside market for West Village is the worst thing that has happened to Georgia Tech since I started Fall 2014. A lot of portions are too small, many of the options are insanely overpriced (ex: $7.49 for some noodles and chicken, $1.99 for some leaves of lettuce with sauce on top aka mixed greens with ginger sauce), the wait time to get food was increased dramatically compared to Woodys, meal swipes are under priced and you can't mix options at different stations with the same swipe, many of the options contain semi-burnt food, the food is sometimes the same but most of the time worse quality than it was at Woodys which makes absolutely no sense, and I can keep going on about all of the problems with West Village. Gatech Dining services did not make it clear at all that Woodys was going to be shut down.

The ONLY reason I purchased a meal plan this semester is because I thought Woodys would be open in conjunction with West Village. The only positive thing about West Village is the hours of operation are a bit better, but even this is offset by the fact that they didn't have the option that I wanted when I was there a lot of the time. I tried to get a partial refund of my meal plan by emailing a rep from sodexo but they are probably ignoring my email because I found out that meal plan purchases are non-refundable. I will definitely not purchase a meal plan next semester and I advise anyone in an apartment to never get a meal plan with the hopes of using west village. So thank you Gatech dining services and sodexo for deceiving and screwing over the people on West campus. Gatech needs to drop sodexo asap before their greed screws over the students on East...

West Village Dining Hall is one of the worst places I have ever eaten in my life. It is unfortunate that it is the closest dining hall to my apartment. I found a grasshopper in my bok choi. Ew. Additionally, the food consistently lacks taste, and their lack of tasty vegetarian options dissuades me from going there. I avoid it like the plague. West Village Dining Hall is one of the biggest challenges to freshman students living on the west side of campus who are trying to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Children who say “yuck, vegetables are gross,” have probably been exposed to West Village at some point in their lives. This is not slander; this is a reality. It makes me not only physically unwell, but it sometimes impacts my mental health. I often feel sad and disappointed by the amount of food waste that I see. I have tried eating the food there. I rarely finish it. It tastes awful. I feel guilty for having to toss it every time, so now I just avoid it. For students who might not have the time and energy to travel to the east side of campus where healthy food is more readily available, west village may represent the only option. From undercooked chicken to grasshoppers in bok choi to pork labeled as chicken (a landmine for Muslims like me), west village has so little to offer to its customers. I would highly recommend those students to invest in alternative forms of transportation like bicycles so that they can both get exercise as well as a quick, convenient escape from west village to Brittain and North Avenue dining halls, as well as other on-campus dining locations. The only good thing about this place is that the bakery/coffee stand makes pretty decent pastries as well as the fact that it tends to have more fresh fruit than the other...
