AFC is a great place to rehab, prehab, train and/or maintain!
I was introduced to AFC after a couple of knee surgeries and a back surgery. I needed to learn how to correctly train to keep my body in good functional shape as I was coming off of a few injuries, and to ensure I could remain in the best shape possible as I aged. I was introduced to the concept of functional training and saw immediate and significant results in my body, strength, stability, and stamina. Consequently, I’ve trained at AFC for the past 13+ years, and intend to continue as long as possible!
The environment is perfect for 1:1 specialized training to help you recover from injury or pain, to prepare for upcoming surgery to ensure the best possible outcome and outlook for recovery, and to simply get and stay in the best shape possible.
As a trainer/client-only gym, there is never a huge crowd or any unexpected activity or distraction. There is a great culture of camaraderie and respect amongst the trainers and the clientele. The location is convenient with very easy access and plenty of parking. The facilities are clean and modern and provide the ability to accomplish any level of training objective. Okay, now THIS is me after Brianna French at Austin Fitness Clinic. I know! He looks 10 years younger, you're thinking... And I do FEEL 10 years stronger. My personal progress is real. I feel it. My wife says she can see it. But it requires hard work. Obviously, I must work hard. My personal trainer Brianna works hard too, creating a fitness plan that suits my goals. She motivates me, presenting each challenge in increments that let me celebrate my progress. We are always inching toward our next just out of reach goal--until Yeah! Nailed it! Not at all easy. Read moreWhat brought me to Austin Fitness Clinic? It all started with my Doctor giving me “homework” after my bone density test was not where it should be. She said I want you to do 1 pull up by your next annual visit. Austin Fitness was in my neighborhood so I thought I would give it a try. I talked to the owner, Sam, and he matched me with a trainer, Yvette. It was the perfect fit. Yvette has such a positive and calming presence about her. If I come in with a specific pain, she works on that area till I’m better and can move on. It’s a collaboration, and we’re always working on achieving goals. I can’t say enough about how awesome she is. The owners, Sam and Marci, make the gym feel like a community.
