Nottingham lake is one of my favorite lakes to go to! With the mountains on either side of you, it's a gorgeous place to swim, paddle board, and more! The lake is a part of Nottingham park. They have a stage area for events, tons of open green spaces, with trees to cover, and a fun playground that has a very modern feel. There is a trail that goes all around the park, lake included. There are at least 6 picnic tables by the lake and trees spaced enough for hammocks and slack lines. There are three volleyball courts and a swimming area. Outside the swimming area is for paddle boards, boats that you peddle to move, and small kayaks. There are a couple places that rent these out if you're traveling I am unaware of the pricing. A wonderful mountain outdoors recreation opportunity! Mother Nature shows her beauty in the high Rocky Mountain country. Fresh air, great trees and the lake, breeze rippled in dappled sunlight, and sometimes ultra serene. Great kayaking and water activities. The facilities are kept in noticeably clean condition. This park is especially good of a nature nook to know about; discover it and you may build it into your secret resorts of choice. The balance of accessibility, well maintained facilities and the lay of the land, just the way the geological formation unfolded, how water flows eroded and how the sunlight continues to shine and encourage flora growth.
