My husband and I shared the beet salad with goat cheese sorbet and pot of seafood (forget what its called...cacciuco?) Salad was great. I personally dont like strawberries in my salad but, if thats your thing, it wouldnt bother you. The sorbet was an interesting concept and my husband loved it. For me, the flavor was good and a cool concept to try BUT i just wasnt in love with having something ice cold on my salad. otherwise the beets were tasty, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ressing was good. The seafood was enough for us to share and was SO GOOD! and a good portion for sharing if you have appetizers.
My husband also got the carpaccio appetizer (meat+ salad), which he inhaled and said it was delicious! he loved the dressing on the arugula lettuce. he wished this appetizer was larger.
They have two bread sticks staning up out of a glass, which are a tasty cracker and add to the "decor"/ thought into the table aesthetic. also you check comes on a board with a mini planted ever green. so cute and really shows the thought put into each step out of meal/ experience there! this level of care for the price is so rare and makes this place a MUST VISIT if coming to Vail.
The complementary bread + seasoned olive oil and is plentiful and also very good.
The ambiance was SO cute for a date night. so classy and totally my vibe. a perfect balance between not pretentious but also upscale. Nicely, yet simply decorated.
to add to the classiness/ upscale experience was a "complementary chef tasting"- a small spoon of tomato and mozzarella, which was SO GOOD. and added something special to our date night. we were also offered complementary lemoncello but declined. Im sure it was good though!
service was 10/10. everyone was so attentive but not in an annoying way. again, perfectly balanced where you know the staff cares about your experience but isn't overbearing. staff also seemed in a good mood, which hopefully means they are also treated well! another plus:)
definitely would...

Our server, Josh, was a standout. His personable demeanor and in-depth knowledge of the menu made the evening even more special, as he expertly guided us through the myriad of Italian delights on offer. His attentiveness and friendly expertise turned a simple meal into a culinary journey.
We began our shared meal with a delightful array of antipasti, which perfectly whetted our appetites for what was to come. The Carpaccio was nothing short of excellent, its delicate flavors artfully balanced to highlight the quality of the ingredients. Equally impressive was the polenta served in a mushroom ragu—a dish so fantastically tasty that it quickly became a favorite.
For the main courses, we opted to share the carbonara special, a dish that was as comforting as it was sophisticated. Additionally, the Polpette Di Vitello—a scrumptious combination of tender veal meatballs and linguini dressed in a wonderfully rich sauce—left us thoroughly impressed. Each dish was presented in generous portions, a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to value; so much so that we had no room left for dessert.
In every way, Fattoria Restaurant exceeded our expectations. Not only did it offer exceptional food and attentive service, but it also delivered an experience that far surpassed a fancy restaurant we dined at in Vail just a few nights before—yet at roughly half the cost.
For those seeking a taste of authentic Italian cuisine paired with warm, genuine hospitality in the heart of Avon, Fattoria is the place to be. Every visit feels like a special occasion, where the passion for food and the joy of shared moments shine through...

Located in Avon near Beaver Creek. This is the perfect location for some upscale Italian food after a day of skiing.
Interior is very nice and I believe they have outdoor seating in the warmer months.
What we got: Carpaccio - this was a star, big portion with a lot of arugula. You could consider this a salad. The caper dijonaisse was delicious and the pickled fennel added a nice vinegar hit. Perfect start before a heavy pasta dish. Pappardelle Bolognese - this example of a bolognese was delicious. There is cream in the sauce that makes it heavy. Beet Rigatoni - beet juice adds color but doesn’t change the flavor. The sausage was delicious and so was the mushroom sauce. Tomatoes added a nice acid hit. Somehow this creamy and cheesy dish seemed lighter than the bolognese.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our server was nice but fast spoken and curt. At times we had to ask him to repeat. The server at the table next to us was much more descriptive. Our server simply described the amuse bouche as “vegetables” but we overheard it was eggplant.
Other info: There are a few paid parking lots nearby but the one next to the restaurant is free. 4% kitchen fee is added to the...
