Avon Urgent Care — Local services in Avon

Walked in Sunday night and the place was very busy and the staff was doing the best they could. After a 40 min wait my wife was taken inside. She proceeded to wait another 10 minutes before being seen by an assistant and finally after another 25 minutes she was seen by a PA.

There were no doctors at the urgent care and the PA suggested a chest X ray for my wife. We agreed to the chest x-ray and she was prescribed medication. She said she would send over to our Local pharmacy Left around 8PM 24 hrs latter My Pharmacy is still waiting for the script and no call from The PA which she promised as we were leaving My wife is coughing uncontrollably as I write this Review Earlier in the Day the woman who sits at the Front Says she could only relay my messages to the back she was assisting me as much as her capacity allowed, I must say that while waiting Vail health provides a Very Professional Magazine Looks are deceiving I think they should spend their money on their staff instead of This False Propaganda My wife and i Will never use Avon...

I was up visiting the Vail Valley from Denver and became sick with the flu. I was reluctant to go to an urgent care setting but was so miserable that I felt I had no choice.

I was greeted pleasantly and empathetically, and was immediately put at ease. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room. The nurse (Mary) brought me back to the exam room and began taking my vitals and the history of what was going on. The doctor (Dr. Sather) soon came in the room, reviewed the history and examined me. He was very thorough with his explanation and treatment options. Prescriptions were given, blood work was done and I was sent home on my way. I received a call later that afternoon to see how I was doing and to give me the results of my blood work.

I returned the next day to pick up a copy of my blood work for my persona file.

This place is phenomenal! The staff are super respectful and helpful. One of the things I’ve noticed with modern medicine is the focus gradually leaning more towards interacting with a computer instead of the patient. It can be very impersonal. Not here! Sure, they have to do the normal question answer and answer session to admit and complete the triage process, but they truly listen to everything the patient says. They went through the diagnostic process in full detail with us before completing the diagnosis and then again for treatment, answering lots of questions. Basically, the staff here is awesome. They treated my wife, my daughter with phenomenal care and quickly diagnosed the flu and explained why even though they had gotten the flu vaccine, you’re still susceptible, but still much better off.
