Beaver Creek West Condos — Hotel in Avon

My family (husband and older teenage boys) and I stayed at this property the week before Christmas for a ski/snowboard trip. The property is conveniently located within the town of Avon and had plenty of parking for our rental car. We arrived in the early evening and the main office was closed. We called the number for the front desk and a gentleman named Jake (I think...) drove from his house to meet us so we could get into the condo - amazing service. I booked the condo directly through Beaver Creek West and experienced ZERO problems. There was another family waiting to get in as well (booked through AirBnb) and they found out they were out of luck because the owners decided to use the condo and cancel their reservation! Do yourself a favor and save on all of the ridiculous fees, cleaning expenses, etc. and book with the property directly. ||To get to Beaver Creek Resort to ski, we used the property's shuttle, which goes to the Riverfront Gondola at the Westin. It was very convenient and the ladies driving the shuttle are very friendly and helpful. One day, we used the gondola and one day (when I wasn't skiing), I used the shuttle to the Westin and then took the Avon Ski Bus up to the base village of Beaver Creek Resort (super easy). The property is also very close to the Lake Street Bus Stop - easy walk, even in ski boots. On the day we skied Vail, we drove our rental car and parked in the main parking garage - easy and scenic drive. ||We booked Unit 7 and I highly recommend it. We were able to park directly in front of the unit and it was clean, spacious and updated nicely, including the modern bathrooms. Before our trip, I communicated with the property directly via e-mail to ensure we were booked in this originally requested unit and that everything was all set. We stayed in unit V-1last weekend and we were so happy to stay in the unit v-1.The property is very clean and accessable. Parking was super easy, and convenient. The logisitcs to get in and out of the unit were easy and felt very secure ad safe,. The unit is a very large 3 bedroom which has all the appointments you could want. The kitchen had great coffee makers and dishes. We were very relaxed and slept super. The beds and the bedding were first rate . We also enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the birds in the morning. It was quiet and perfect and super convenient to everything you could want in a weekend get away. We walked to pickle ball, rode bikes along the eagle trail pass , ate great food locally, and did several amazing hikes. we also enjoyed the very clean pool and hot tubs. We have visited on a few weekends with family and friends over the summer and although I’ve never complained about the accommodations, which are great; location is great, everything great, EXCEPT the trash shed is ALWAYS filled to the ceiling. To the point that we, and we’ve noticed everyone else, open the door, toss in the trash and close the door as quickly as possible. It’s very scary with the bears very active in the town and close to this property - skat on the sidewalks in the nearby -100 yards away - park. Not sure if the company has the trash picked up once a week or what but it’s horrible. We could smell the trash when we got into the car to leave tonight and the kids couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home to Denver. Prompting this review. This has been the case every time we have visited this property.. I don’t see any other complaints about the trash but I guarantee it’s a problem. 4th of July weekend...
