Got here & realized I forgot a lock for the lockers. The front desk sells locks but they also allow you to trade your ID for a lock if you would rather not buy one!!
There's a rock climbing wall next to the front desk, the sign said you must wear climbing shoes to use the wall.
Lots of exercise machines upstairs which overlook the pool area. The machines integrate with an app & apparently also Apple watches. I tried the app but it just confused me so I used the good old "quick start" mode.
The pool was warm. -I gave the "lazy river" a try but gave up on it pretty quickly because there were people walking against the current and it really wasn't wide enough to use a tube when others were walking against the current. -The big water slide was a lot of fun. -The 10' deep part of the pool has a low dive board & a little rock climbing wall. I'm not a rock climber and the wall curves back over the water so I didn't excel at it, but it was fun. -Multiple lanes to swim laps in. I chose the lane closest to the deep end, maybe don't do that if there are other lanes available because it has a wheelchair lift & I'm not the most coordinated swimmer so I managed to hit it. It's awesome that they have that amenity for those who need it though. -There's a little slide for small kids. -My friend said the jacuzzi wasn't much warmer than the pool but I think that the jacuzzi was plenty hot. It's a big tub too!! -Visited the sauna, it was toasty. Because of the way its heated, there's a risk of fire if you dump water onto the heated rocks, so don't do that, the sign says you'll be suspended. -There's also a steam room which smelled very strongly of eucalyptus & was very steamy so my friend & I didn't stay long. -The locker room features a swimsuit dryer!!
My friend & I each purchased a 10 punch pass & look forward to returning. They offer several fitness classes which I plan to attend...
Read moreGreat gym at a good price. All the equipment you would want. Not busy in June on a Saturday afternoon EDIT: I had a terrible experience on my second visit. Unbeknownst to me. you are not allowed to do remote training with a trainer via Whatsapp basically my trainer giving me instructions - they want you to use their trainers (who does that when you are only there for a few days? - this afterall is a town that lives largely on tourism). While I don't agree with the policy I was willing to abide by it, unfortunately Daniel, the employee who delivered the message and enforced the policy, decided to make a scene and raised his voice and stormed off when I had questions. Very unprofessional...
Read moreFabulous facilities!! We've been camping all over Colorado. Using towns' facilities for showers, since most bathrooms and facilities are closed for the winter!! These were the best we've seen anywhere. They're not cheap, but not the most expensive location we've found. $8 (if you had your own towel, we did). They had soap/shampoo in the showers. Large private shower rooms, with benches in the first part changing area, and huge showers!! And, the bathroom/showers were not cold!! We only came for the showers - large pool with slides and places for children - you see right behind the reception desk.
Very busy place! Loads of University students. Right in town. Easy to get to,...
