I visited Patterson park swimming pool July 24th with my 3 children ages 6,9,16. There was a man an a woman kissing and to me doing something else in the water of the pool so I stood up and told them not to do that because there were some 50 + children in the pool, the lifeguard ADia Stocks, was very angry at me for stoping the couple, she yelled mean things to me from her booth, after the incident she waited about 10 minutes after I talked to the couple and came furious towards me even though I was not angry neither the couple in the pool ( they understood my request and stopped doing what they were doing ) but Adia Stocks decided that that was not the end of the story she told me with a angry voice : pick up your kids and get out of the pool!!! I told her that her duty is not to disrespect me but to protect the children in the pool from situations like this and she was just out of control, really rude person, viciously angry, aggressive and continue to threat me with calling the police which she did ( I guess she was enjoying the view of the couple In the water and I ruined the show. I couldn't understand her behavior she should been on my side ... I repeated to her that I did not do anything wrong my right is to protect my children I don't want people doing inapropiate things in front of them plus I paid for all of as to get there.. anyways the police that work in the pool told me I had to leave too, that if I had complaints I had to take it somewhere else.. I am Hispanic they were all black people.. I think racism played a big role one this... other wise I could not justified what happen... so please be aware the life guard ADIA STOCKS is not there to protect children in fact she enjoys watching couples doing it on the pool were your kids are swimming and I will make reviews of what happened to us on every possible internet site that alouds to review the Patterson park pool of Baltimore since I don’t have the time to do a lawsuit against the abuse tours my...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. Patterson Swimming Pool in Baltimore has become an absolute disaster. The entire place is run by a group of rude, careless teenagers who clearly have no idea what they’re doing. There’s zero professionalism, zero courtesy, and certainly no respect for the people using the facility. It’s like they’re hanging out with their friends, not doing a job.
No adult supervision, no accountability—just loud, dismissive teens barking orders and rolling their eyes if you ask a simple question. A public pool should be a safe, welcoming environment, not a high school hangout spot with whistles.
On top of that, the cleanliness is appalling. The bathrooms are filthy. I worry about the kids who go there. I seriously questioned the hygiene and safety standards. How is this place even passing inspections?
The city needs to do better. Put some responsible adults in charge, clean the place up, and treat the community with respect. Until then, stay far away. P.S I’d like to give the pool -1 stars but I have to give...
Read moreAlmost the entire experience was enjoyable. Took my three children and they all enjoyed themselves. Consider having two adults with different age limits. Unfortunately; and this all falls on me; my daughter is to tall for the little pool and my sons are too small for the big pool. My daughter whose only 8, couldnt be by herself so she had to stay in the small pool which we disappointing. The only bad part was the restroom which were disgusting; no toilet paper, showers were nasty and not working, no private space for changing and very bad lighting; my children were creeped out and didnt want to go back in to change. Right now they are on time limits of 1.5 hours with time for cleaning. It's easy to sign up online and you can schedule more than 1 time slot. Theres a playground in the same area so if you sign up for two time slots back to back, you can spend time having lunch or playing on the playground durning the hour...
