I can not say enough good things about the Bar Method Baltimore! As a new mama who tried lots of different fitness routines to shed the baby weight, from home workout videos to other group fitness classes, nothing was sticking. Since the Bar Method Baltimore has childcare, I decided to give it a try. Not only am I finally BELOW my pre-baby weight, but I feel stronger and more confident than ever! I impress myself now with my strength, flexibility, and my stamina to keep up with one tornado of a toddler!
As far as barre classes go, I have experienced many other franchises in the area, and the Bar Method Baltimore is by far superior! There is certainly a well thought out method! Each instructor is meticulous about form to ensure that you get the very most out of your class without compensating any joint or body health. I’ve brought lots of friends to class from fitness junkies to my mom (who I love but is not very incredibly fitness inclined), and every single person has loved the class! It is challenging but doable for every fitness level.
From the very first class, I was greeted with friendly smiles and people that knew my name and cared to get to know me and my little guy! Not only have I found my niche in the fitness world, but I have found a new community of friends that love both me and my son!

Read moreI have always struggled to maintain a workout routine. My. Whole. Life! Well, I have now been a member of The Bar Method for over 2 years and I have taken over 300 classes. Here are some specifics of why this place is so amazing: the instructors are super meticulous to form and making sure that every move you do is perfect in order to be most effective to results and safest for your body over time, the workouts are reasonable time length and hit every muscle in your body, you WILL see changes in your body and overall physical and mental health, the classes are challenging no matter what your fitness level but there are modifications for everyone so ANYONE can do it. I am a physician and mom to 2 little boys. I started my membership during my post-part in fitness journey with #1 and once I lost all the weight and was in great physical shape, I did it all again and managed to do classes through the entirety of my second pregnancy-literally taking my last class the week before baby came-and as soon as I was cleared I was back at it. I have never once felt out of place or intimidated. The instructors and staff are amazingly friendly and truly foster a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Read moreThis place is the absolute BEST workout experience and honestly feels like my second home!! I got into a car accident last summer and needed to modify a LOT once I got back to my classes. The staff and other clients were so welcoming and eager to help out. They were there with tons of support, words of encouragement, and extra props! If it hadn’t been for Caity (instructor) I probably would have quit during the summer because I was being way too hard on myself and she reminded me I needed to give myself grace while I healed. Not once did anyone at this studio make me feel bad about myself for modifying or needing extra props for support. I’ve been to other places where I was judged and/or treated badly for needing extra support/help. Everyone here just wants you to have a safe, enjoyable workout. I’m about to take my 1,000th class before the year ends and I never thought I’d stick with any type of workout for that long!
