1-Star Review: Disappointing Experience — We’re Done Ordering

We’ve ordered from Limencello Pizza numerous times since they opened. While we’ve had problems in the past with both the food and delivery, the last two experiences have been so poor that we’re officially done ordering from them.

Our recent delivery through Grubhub was especially frustrating — we received an estimated delivery time but no text updates, no call, and not even a knock when the food finally arrived. The lack of communication and basic service is unacceptable, especially for how expensive their pizzas are.

To be fair, the pizza itself is decent for the area (I’m originally from New Jersey, so I have high standards). But between the repeated order issues, unreliable delivery, and declining service, we can no longer recommend Limencello. There are too many better options nearby that offer better service and value.

Living in MD, but grew up in the Bronx, NY. Always looking for a good NY style pizza. Went to visit a friend working there. Tried 1 slice of plain cheese pizza Nice thin, yet flexible crust, making it easily foldable...think Tony Manero putting two slices one on top of the other...can do that with this pizza tasty crust with substantial outside perimeter, again for easy handling by hand nice even spread of sauce and cheese with the taste of quality ingredients This is an excellent NY pizza for MD and for a franchise. Rated 4 because I only had one slice. Went on to visit the recently rated #1 NY pizza in MD with 2 locations in Baltimore, only to be disappointed....give Limoncello a try if this is your kind of pizza. The Good: *You’ll find a vibrant, colorful atmosphere with clean restrooms. *This place has a nearly limitless pizza menu with plenty of other food options. *Limoncello boasts friendly, efficient service. You order at the counter…the staff brings your food to the table. *I like the fact you can order tap water without having to buy their bottled water. *My friend said Limoncello made “some of the best pizza” he’s ever had. I could have easily eaten another pizza, mine was so delicious. Limoncello uses quality ingredients!

The Bad: *This restaurant has a small footprint with limited seating options. On a weekend night we ended up having to sit at a counter. It was awkward. *I ordered a 16 inch pizza while receiving a 12 inch pizza. Given that everything else about our experience was wonderful, I found this mistake easy...
