My bowl was pretty, but unfortunately —
the customer service I experienced during a particular encounter wasn't good.
I think I got food poisoning from my smoothie bowl here.
I ate in the upstairs level of the restaurant. As I was getting ready to leave the restaurant, I realized there were several boxes placed on the steps (the only access point to travel between upstairs and downstairs).
There was an associate moving the boxes up to higher steps and a higher platform of the steps, so there were boxes on various steps and on the middle platform. I was wondering how I'd get downstairs to leave, and whether she'd clear the way.
Nope. The associate moved no faster and carried on saying nothing to me as I walked to the stairway with my carry-on bag, and maneuvered between the boxes with some difficulty so I could get downstairs. I expected she would at least apologize for created the blockade. Nope. Nothing.
When I got downstairs, I mentioned to the associate that it would be a good idea for them to check whether there are any customers upstairs before doing this (i.e. placing boxes all overs on the stairway). The associate said something to the effect of, "Oh.... Well we have to do our delivery." Again, no apology for blocking me in. I replied, "Yeah, but you should check to see whether there are any customers upstairs so they can come down if they need to." She was pretty rude, unfortunately.
Secondly, after walking out the shop and making my way around the block on foot, I started to notice that I didn't feel well. I contemplated and ultimate did end up returning to the restaurant to use the restroom.
I vomited my smoothie bowl into the toilet and am still recovering as I right this. Unfortunately, there was no soap in the restroom, so I had to wait until I went to the train station to...
Read moreAmazing Employees and Smoothies. It’s so rare to be greeted when you enter an establishment now and days. The employees are either intimidated or don’t care. Not at Pure Raw Juice , Locust Point. I was immediately greeted as I walked in. The gentleman running the cash register was so polite and courteous with each customer. He engaged specifically with everyone, catering to their comfort level, and creating an experience with each customer ( that’s impressive). He was very patient. I requested to make changes to my smoothie by removing an item and I was okay with paying for additional items I added. But he took my experience up a notch. He excused himself, went back to the gentleman making the smoothies and verbally communicated my changes, instead of relying on technology to do the job. Then he came back and said, since you removed an item, you get to select a replacement (wait what, does this happen in real life). Then when I thought my experience couldn’t be topped, the gentleman making the smoothie, came out to give me my order. He apologized for the inconvenience of taking a little longer than it should have, but it was because he wanted to make sure the consistency of the smoothie was perfect ( I’m screaming on the inside because this service is immaculate). The smoothie was perfect. Not only was it fresh, clean and tasted good but it was a PERFECT consistency. It was not the fake you out smoothie where it’s runny. You know, when you take two sips and it turns to juice, or not too thick that you can’t even sip it, so you gotta eat it like it’s ice cream. It was perfect. Thank you team Pureraw at Locust Point for your excellent service and delicious...
Read moreCompared to other locations I have been to, this is by far the worst...the only reason I have gone back is because it is near one of my stores. No customer service at all- no greeting when entering, they don't even say what can I get you? or anything at all!! I had to start the narrative by ordering, she put it in the computer and then just stood there, not even telling me the told $, I explained I had an account to use and she responded "number" she didn't look me in the eye at one second during the whole transaction. This is the 3rd time I've been here and it's truly awful. I don't know how this location is still operating. They also each time have boxes all over the place, and are low even on spoons and straws. It never looks inviting like other locations. After I make the order here, they put my order on the counter(without saying it's ready or anything) and the employees go into the back and disappear, it's so strange. This time even, the acai wasn't good and slushy like usual. It was almost creamy(not the typical consistency) and had ice hard chunks in it, which I've never had before. I have never had leftovers from an acai bowl but I did this time. Will not be going back to this location. Also PRJ is sooo...
