I can't say enough good about this place! :-) Free to boot!

I spent an hour at the Russian Bishop's House. Great displays, well-preserved. Ranger Cinnamon knew her stuff! :-) To get a tour requires scheduling ahead of time.

I then walked down to the visitor center...excellent film & good displays there of Tlingit culture & totem poles.

Unfortunately the couple miles of trail behind the visitor center were closed because of bears...I had looked forward to experiencing the temperate rain forest, but oh well....

Absolutely love this park! We have visited it twice now. Gorgeous walking trails with beautiful views, wildlife, excellent birding and sea life. Lots to see in the museum, amazing totem poles. Nothing compares to being there in the woods, truly...

Worth visiting and watching the 12 minute film about the history of the area. There is also a very small but professionally done exhibition. We also walked the ten minutes circle track and saw a couple of...
