Captain Mike and Captain Eric are exceptional fishermen and are a credit and blessing to the Sitka fishing industry. Captain Mike’s boat is an immaculately clean and well-maintained boat which is both extremely safe and easy to fish. The Sea Roamer (Mike’s boat) is a rugged aluminum catamaran style hull which is probably the safest and most stable fishing boat in the Sitka area. When you are anchored up offshore fishing for Halibut this becomes a very important factor to both your safety, physical comfort, and your ability to catch fish. The wide beam on the Sea Roamer offers plenty of room to ride rough seas as well as fight the abundance of fish. Captain Mike always seems to know where they hide.

Both Mike and Eric are excellent fishermen and offer some of the greatest fishing experiences in the world. Where they excel and stand above the rest of the Sitka fishing charters is they actually care and are sensitive to the wants, personal needs, and desires of each individual. About a year ago someone had recommended Sea Roamer Charters to me for a special vacation we were planning to Sitka with family. I booked with Mike at Sea Roamers and could not wait for this trip to take place. Our first day on the water with Mike and Eric proved to me all the reviews I read were not exaggerated in any way. The boat was one of the finest in the Sitka fleet and both Captain Mike and Eric were exceptional in every way. They worked hard to insure the trip was not just to catch fish but to create an Alaska Experience we could enjoy in stories for many years to come. Their ability to quickly find and catch fish was the easy part. Being experienced in the history of this area and their ability to easily share stories with us made the days go by way to quickly. They took a lot of care to insure our days on the water were filled with memorable experiences with one of them being limits of quality fish.
