We had a fantastic experience with Brad!

Like most people, we arrived in Sitka on a cruise ship. We had booked a tour through the cruise but due to high seas, it was cancelled. We were first time cruisers and this was our first time in Alaska so even though we have traveled a lot, this was a new experience for us. Wanting to do something while our ship was docked, we wandered to the waterfront and found Brad advertising a boat tour. After chatting with him for a bit, we chose to go on a boat tour with him. He had to modify the tour because of the high seas but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip ! We saw bears, migrating salmon, scenery and waterfalls! It was truly amazing !

The one thing I want to highlight here is the following... don't be scared into thinking you have to book your tours through your cruise line !! The cruise will tell you that if you book a tour through them, the ship will wait for you if your tour is delayed in getting back. Remember though that independent tour operators like Brad rely on good reviews and always know that they have to get you back to your cruise on time ! If they didn't, they wouldn't be in business ! And another thing is that the cruise lines charge a premium price for their tours and you don't always get a premium experience !

So bottom line if you're on a cruise... book tours privately to save yourself some money and to get a more personal experience with smaller tour operators !

We went on a tour with Brad and it was absolutely exceptional. His boat is comfortable and well set up with great viewing areas both inside and outside, making it easy to enjoy the experience from any spot on board.

Brad clearly knows all the right places for wildlife viewing. During our trip we saw bears, sea lions, otters, bald eagles, and humpback whales. He made sure we had plenty of time to watch and enjoy each sighting, never rushing the experience.

The family went on 2 tours with Brad. They were both great. His boat is great with comfortable seat/viewing areas both inside and outside. On the first trip we saw alot of wildlife including humpback whales, sea lions, and sea otters. On the second trip me and my sister had Brad take us out to Saint Lazaria Island to see the birds.
