Update: Since that unfortunate experience with these guys, I have had my car battery completely die (not because of the quality of the battery but because of other issues with my car and my alternator) and Shaun was very helpful with replacing the battery no questions asked the very same day, one time even staying past closing and personally installing the new battery after removing the faulty one! I am impressed with the difference and improvment in customer service since my first time coming here Quote me 3400 for compete installation which included a custom box but I had all the equiptment other then the 2 12" T1 shallow fosgate subs and as stated the box... I had a deck and speakers and amps, but being naive and it being my baby (I mean 2006 Corvette z06 at 26 y.o.... who wouldn't) so it was a pretty crazy high estimate to give them room for additional costs right? Go to pick it up and not only is it out in the rain which I was promised by Shaun it would be kept in the shop, but also they need 5300 before I get my car back.... You read that right... After arguing and being reassured after the 600 downpayment it wasn't as far off as I was thinking from the quote I was given... Not even an hour into driving my car is freaking out, service light, check engine, traction control errors so I ended up having to take it back in and get scammed into buying a top dollar. Performance battery and that will fix it(found out afterward the battery I had WAS a performance battery(same brand and everything). They offered to dispose of it for me not wanting me to see this fact, I'm sure to resell or just keep... Didn't fix it... Brought it in and got talked into hertz 2 way front speakers @ $600 and of course when i returned they tried convincing me I owed them 1300 which is what they quoted the 3 ways at that day I said to do it if they really thought it would make a huge difference(to their credit that was true) but realize my car had an extra 38 miles from when I dropped it off. I know cuz I had gotten the oil changed at the dealership and took it straight from their to mobile music and they record your mileage on your receipt anytime they work on your vehicle... Busted... Scam artists 100% don't put yourself through this terrible experience, I wouldn't put this much effort into a google review or any review for that matter usually but this is just completely not how business should be handled and I thought people should know.. Sorry for the short novel but hey if it saved u that misery, glad u stuck it out and took the time to learn all the reasons to go...

We spent 3,200 on two (basic economy) CarPlay stereos with backup cameras. It was a nightmare, when I first showed up to place an order for both of our van install for two vans. I was given a quote by the salesman and advised him that I wanted back up cameras for both vans. He gave me a quote for one and I dropped that off and he told me that when that van was ready I could bring the other van in to get the same thing done and then I could do a swap. When it was time to pick up the first van, I brought the second van in and the store manager had absolutely no clue that I was going to be swapping my van. he also did not add a back up camera to the first van which I made incredibly clear to the staff that it was the sole purpose why I was installing a CarPlay system. They proceeded to charge me approximately 500 more dollars for the back up camera than originally quoted. When I came to pick up both vans, the invoice had charges on there that we’re not associated with any of the work that they completed. I asked manager to take them off and he got frustrated with me, then agreed that the charges should not be on my invoice.

Upon immediately taking these vans back to our shop when reversing we realize that the cameras did not work, they were angled the wrong direction.

When I called the store manager back to tell him about this, he got upset with me and told me that I have been difficult since the beginning.

I’m not sure how me paying more money than originally quoted and a total of $3200 for two stereos installed with a back up camera that doesn’t work would be considered being difficult.

I recently went to Best Buy and got a quote for a nicer stereo system with a back up camera installed for $984 including tax. I have absolutely no idea how Mobile music is getting away with charging $3200 for two basic car stereos installed with back up cameras that don’t work. Sterling at Mobile Music on Cornwall helped me with an upgrade to my car radio recently. I drive a 2011 Mazda with less than 30k miles on it. It still had the original radio and CD player. No way to plug in my phone to charge it much less play music or take phone calls or use Google Maps. I've been thinking about it for awhile but I don't drive much and wondered if it would really be worthwhile. IT TOTALLY WAS!!!! First of all, Sterling is knowledgeable and courteous. I'm a single female in my 70's. I am cautious about being "sold" on something I don't understand or need or want. He showed me options that covered a wide price range. Since I wanted a display screen he suggested that I might consider adding on a backup camera. I didn't know I could even do that! Still cautious I told him I needed to think about it, but that he could follow up with me in a week or so. He did. Not pushy. Attentive. I made an appointment to go in again to make sure I understood what it was that I was thinking about buying. Sterling was patient. Went through my options again. I picked the display screen size and what the heck let's do the backup camera too. We set up a time to do the installation. He confirmed prior to the day. They were ready for me and the car was ready when they said it would be. Sterling walked through the new radio and backup camera settings. Returned my old radio, too. It's been a few weeks. Everything is working even better than I expected. I LOVE MY NEW RADIO AND BACKUP CAMERA :)) If you are thinking about making a change but are wondering how to find a dealer you can trust, I would highly recommend Sterling and the crew at Mobile Music....
