I guess if I have to give a star just to post, so be it. However, after an experience I went through with 3 other adults and 10, yes 10 children (all 10 and under) on Saturday the 12th, deserves nothing but a zero. I am literally still shaking when I replay the event that occurred on Saturday during the showing of Minecraft (710pm showing to be correct). I'm not oblivious, I had heard of the shenanigans that were taking place during the movie. However, after reading a FB on Saturday movie over the same events that occurred during this moms experience...I had hoped proper measures would have been taken. That is exactly what DID NOT HAPPEN! TO say the experience was a disaster, is an understatement. I was there for my sons 10th birthday, this is what he wanted to do and I regret every minute. The absolute disrespect for the other movie goers was out right Assault. Prior to the moving starting I had got pelted in the head with milk duds, cheese and sour patch kids were being thrown. Don't get me started on the profanity and in proper language, not only from the gents in the movie but certain girls behind us. The mocking, the belching and the sexual outburst from them was enough to make anyone disgusted. The theater was a mad house, and before I get lectured on having my children there....it was daylight when we got there, it was a birthday, it was their choice so we stayed. Don't get me wrong, I had already been out talking to the "manager" regarding the nonsense. That was a conversation that went no where and I was told, "I can go in there and stand, but it won't do any good, they will just boo me". Well sir, what about us...the movie patrons you are supposed to look out for as a business, as a corporation. Mom and Dad's were pulling their kids from the theatre left and right, yet nothing was done. YOU KNEW what was going on, check your popcorn sales. The kids were buying LARGE buckets, multiple at a time to soak with the water bottles they also just purchased. On top of that, they would crinkle water bottles and place the cap on top to make a "popper" to hurl with the popcorn mush. At the time "chicken jockey" was said...I have seen calmer situations at far bigger events. People got hurt...people slipped on the coke that was thrown...I pulled 10 kids out of this movie b/c it was Harassment and the situation was NOT SAFE. Did your kid go to this showing? To say the least, I am so disappointed how my son's birthday experience was. I am also here to say that I will NEVER step foot in this building. The filth is one thing, I can get but that....but the lack of "management" the lack of caring for the other patrons of the movie....The mere fact the police were not called and the kids were not escorted away is beyond me. DO Better South Hills Village and DO Better AMC on having firm guidelines in place for all of...
Read moreSaw Inside Out 2 yesterday here. It was a great movie and a good day to see a movie after work with it being so hot. Haven’t been to this theater in a while because I’m not really a fan of this movie theater because it’s right next to the mall which makes it more crowded. First of all when walking in, the lobby of the theater is outdated needs to get it gutted out and redone since the whole one side of the lobby doesn’t even get used for concession and only gets used to get butter on popcorn and it’s silly that you have to walk over to the other side of the lobby just to get butter on the popcorn. If the theater has the money to get the soda machines with the different varieties of sodas then they have the money to get the lobby redone. Second, the seats in the theaters are kind of uncomfortable and outdated especially if you’re in there to see a long movie and since there’s so many other theaters that have the cushioned reclining seats. Need to get the cushioned recliner seats even maybe with the heated seats that would make the movie experience even better. Third, I do like the announcement before the movie starts to tell people to quiet down before the movie and to turn off cell phones so people can actually enjoy the movie. Because these days, adults and kids do not know how to stay quiet at a movie theater anymore when their watching a movie but you do need to add to the announcement for people to get snacks and drinks and use the restroom before the movie starts so people aren’t getting up in the middle of the movie disturbing other paying guests that actually do those things before the movie starts because it’s very annoying when someone blocks the movie when another person is walking passed you to get up to use the bathroom and I had some little kid kicking the back of my seat almost the whole entire movie and the parents didn’t even do anything until I looked back at the child. Almost got up and told a staff member because of this child. Fourth, could barely hear the movie especially if someone is talking during the movie, could hear the persons conversation more then the movie. Need to turn the sound up more on the movies so people can hear the dialogue of the movie over people talking. Overall this is a good theater but to me it is outdated and needs a refresh and need to make it more handicap accessible for people that have wheelchairs and have trouble walking up stairs. Not a good theater if you or a family member have difficulty walking or are wheelchair users. Because there are a lot of other theaters around that are...
Read moreI am not a nit picky person, but we just purchased over $100 worth of tickets to see WICKED last night. Considering this is a higher end neighborhood, I expected a better experience, DO NOT come to this theater!!!!
I had 3 children, 5 seniors, alongside me and my husband.
There was NO ONE to accept our tickets or directing ANY customers to their movie. No movie title posted outside of ANY theater. Each theater was labeled Auditorium# 1-10.
I have been in bathrooms in dive-bars that were cleaner than this women's restroom. OVERFLOWING paper towels ALL OVER the floor, wet toilet paper on and around practically EVERY TOILET. Feces and urine left in toilets.
Upon entering the theater, we were greeted with cloth chairs that are heavily stained and the carpeting was COMPLETELY covered with popcorn residue. The temperature in the theater was unbearably HOT as well. Never been in a theater where I had to remove articles of clothing because I was so uncomfortable.
I originally purchased 6 tickets for MOANA 2 prior to my experience last night. I already went and requested my refund. So I can have a much better experience at another cleaner Theater in the area.
My only regret is I didn't...
