I went into the King Avenue Store to return a software program I had recently purchased but was unable to use. It hadn’t been opened, and I had my receipt. When I walked in the store, a sign said that they are going to reduced hours next week due to staffing issues. There was only one register open, and I waited in line to make my return for almost 15 minutes, only to have the clerk abruptly tell me that I’dhave to talk to a manager, who by then was helping another customer at an adjacent register. I went to the other register and I waited over almost another 10 minutes, only to be told very rudely that my item was tech, and tech has a 14 day return policy, and she would not accept the item for return and a refund. She shoved it back at me and turned away from me. I said, “Wow, so now you aren’t even going to look at me again, huh? It’s not like the program spoiled in the one day it’s past the acceptable return date. And how is this considered to be tech, when it’s really just an office supply for financial management?”. She started yelling at me about it being store policy, and I just said, “Office Depot just lost a loyal customer. So much for shopping local.”, and walked out. It was humiliating to be treated like I had done something wrong, when I tried to return a $98 item that I was unable to use. I was unaware I was a day late to return it. Worst shopping experience of my entire life! If they keep treating customers this way, they won’t need staff, because they won’t have...
Read moreBy far the worst customer service ever! Go in to the King Ave store to have my nieces senior collage shrink wrapped and I was treated so poorly. Greeted at the door by a guy who radioed to the girl working on the print center that a customer was here for shrink wrap. In clear sight she sighed heavily, threw her hands up and rolled her eyes. I stated whoa obviously I just ruined her day, the guy who greeted me says well she does have a lot of other work to do. Uh not my problem! She hastily shrink wraps my collage, brings it back to me and it looked terrible. There were so many wrinkles and the wrap was baggy. I said um this is for a senior graduation, could you please redo this. She snatches it off the counter and stops back to the the shrink wrap station. Brings it back the second time and it’s still terrible.
I then drive to the Heights location in hope they can fix it, NOPE! Was told that shrink wrapping pictures isn’t something they like to do and that’s the best it will look. Excuse me… I have seen collages done at the same stores that look great, tight and smooth and professional. The staff at the heights location actually laughed at me when I walked in and was upset. A woman with dark hair and glasses sitting off to the left behind a desk laughed the entire time.
By far the absolute worst experience ever and I will never shop in either Office...
