Having visited the Beach House Day Spa salon, from the first minutes I was not very impressed with the mood of the girls at the reception to the client. The girl from the reception took me to the waiting room for my hydrofacial procedure, this room describes itself as a relaxation room. Well, what can I say, first of all, the room itself is very dark and the doors to the offices are open, you sit on the sofa near the toilet and watch how the salon employees caring dirty and used linen in front of your face and throw it in the room behind you. Well, this is already my first impression... The girl from the reception asked if I wanted tea and I said yes, she went to get a hot water somewhere since there was none in this room, and brought me half a cup of warm water so that I could make myself tea, what I didn't do because which tea you can make in a warm water? Then a girl came into this room and called my name and told me to follow her into the room for the procedure (without introducing herself). I follow her into the room for my hydrofacial procedure, I enter the room, and my first impression is a massage room, the room itself was dark and there is a machine for the procedure. This is the first time in my experience that facial cleansing somebody doing in a dark room. Shouldn't it be more light so you can see reaction of skin?I decided to ask the girl questions about how they keep their mashine clean and about the safety and sterility of the procedure... the first thing that really irritated me was the appearance of my girl- master, she was constantly chewing gum while chomping loudly, and secondly, she didn’t really want to answer my questions and simply took the spray in the bottle in hand and began spraying the screen of the hydrofacial machine. I also wanted to make sure that the attachments were new and to clarify what the difference is between all the types of hydrofacials that they have on their website, in order to understand what is best to do and feel comfortable. I told the girl that I already had a bad experience and I would like to make sure and feel comfortable during the procedure. Well, the girl simply answered me: “If you don’t want to, we can do nothing.” Of course, after something like this, you don’t want to do anything when not a single question has had a clear professional answer. You can just understand from the attitude that it doesn’t matter on client feelings, as long as another one comes for after. I decided not to do anything and left the room, told the girls at the reception about my experience, there was zero reaction, there was a manager nearby, I repeated this to her, and respond was like well, we will not gonna charge you for this and take it from your account, without an apology and other things. It’s a shame that with such high prices for services in their salon there is still no price-quality ratio. In a place that calls itself a spa salon and where people come to rest and relax, you don’t get what you want. Just a shame and waste of your time. People shouldn't be afraid to ask a questions and get a proper answer. It's our health, our time...
Read moreI had very high hopes for this spa, but was completely and utterly disappointed. I spent $165 on a gift card for my boyfriend that he never used, so I scheduled a massage to use the gift card myself. At checkout after the massage, the woman working at the front desk took about 20 minutes messing around with the gift card to finally tell me that it's not associated with my name, even though I'm the one who purchased it. It also wasn't associated with my boyfriend's name in their system. So they said they would not accept it. They also said they associate all gift cards in their system with the person buying and receiving the card. I responded that they must not have done this for my card or that they must not have input it in their system correctly, which is not my fault and I should not lose out on this expense because of this. They kept repeating the fact that the gift card was not associated with my account, and that there was nothing they could do unless I figured out when I purchased the gift card (it had been years). This situation made me late to an appointment, so they said I could leave for now and come back with proof that I purchased this gift card and the date that I purchased it, which is ridiculous. The manager also said I wouldn't be charged until I came back to figure it out. I then spent hours looking through old credit card statements for 3 different cards over the past few years, and finally found the purchase. I returned to receive my refund, as they had charged my card even though they said they wouldn't, and the manager was completely unapologetic. She said that she would have to look into it. Then she told me that the gift card had been used, so I asked if that means they had sold me a used gift card. She said no. Then I explained what a huge inconvenience this has been, and how surprised I was for this establishment to be so unreliable with their customers' money. She finally figured out that I was given a different gift card than what matched my purchase.
So, in the end, they sold me a used gift card with $0 on it and charged me $165, and would only honor the $165 after I spent hours looking through old credit card statements. I received no apology whatsoever. After the fact, I went to look at reviews and found a review with a situation very similar to mine. Please don't spend your money here if you want what you paid for, especially as a gift to someone else! I understand that mistakes happen, but this was handled very poorly and I will not come back after this. I will definitely be spreading the word to friends and family who...
Read moreMy friends and I really enjoy this place and we love to celebrate our birthdays and special occasions here. Their services are all excellent and the setting is very clean and super relaxing. For that alone they are deserving of my five-star rating, but it’s the welcoming and caring nature of the staff that really puts Beach House Day Spa above all others. They are very attentive and always professional. We leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and filled with renewed confidence.
Stephanie and Jenna have been wonderful in helping us plan everything from couple’s massages to complete, “day at the Beach”, full spa packages. Explore their lengthy menu, they have so much to offer besides just the heavenly massages, facials (thanks Bre and Michele!!), manicures, and pedicures. Just for starters, you could book professional makeup experiences with Celebrity Makeup artist Tresha Heath, set up an entire Spa Party, or get completely transformed by the amazing Maeci who is Beach House’s Special Effects/fantasy Makeup expert. As for me, I run a lot of miles each week so I get decompressed and untangled regularly by Bre, Brittany, and/or Sarah. BTW, it doesn’t matter which member of the Beach House family that you book with as every team member has been personally assessed and selected by Lauren who is the Spa’s owner. Give them a try, you have nothing to lose but your stress!
Tips: Arrive at least 15 minutes early and enjoy a mimosa in their relaxation room. They are also open SUNDAYS! PARKING: Free garage and Valet parking for Beach House Clients in the attached structure (just don’t park in any of the clearly labeled reserved spots that have been specifically purchased by other area businesses who share the...
