For my birthday, I decided to try something new and booked a candle-making class at Urban Wick Candle and let me just say, it was such a beautiful experience from start to finish!

Here’s what I loved: ✨ Easy scheduling for their classes, so creating your own custom candle is stress-free. ✨ They also have ready-made candles available for purchase with some amazing scents. ✨ The staff was bubbly, patient, and so helpful, explaining each step of the process with care. ✨ I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Elise, who was incredibly warm and personable.

If you visit on your birthday, you’ll even get a special decorative plate to prepare your candle on (just for use during class—but it’s such a cute detail!). And speaking of details, the store itself is stunning, full of little architectural touches that make it feel extra special.

This experience gets a 5/5 for the class, staff, and overall vibe. The only thing I would’ve loved to see? Maybe a glass of wine to sip while creating, that would make it perfect!

Such a fun experience! My sister in-laws gifted all the moms in the family a trip to this super neat candle bar for Mother’s Day. It is July 1st- and still when they heard we were in as a last Mother’s Day gift- they pulled out the special pink plates and Mother’s Day sign! How special is that! They are just so awesome. Anyways- We enjoy having experiences together. This is a nice little place, to do just that! I didn’t know what to expect but making the candles is a lot of fun! You get to go through and smell a whole bunch of scented candles and write down the ones you liked. You star your favorites and they help you make a pairing that smells wonderful as your finished mixture for your candle! Then you pick the vessel- they start at maybe $30 and go up to $75, so they can be pricy. They have basic ones and then a shelf of ones that you can bring back and refill once it’s burned for a discounted/refill price. The refill ones are more expensive than the basic ones but not by too much. It was a wonderful experience, but the people behind the counter just made it that much better! They were so kind and funny and very friendly as well as super helpful! My family and I highly recommend this experience, either as a date or a family...

Really nice place for a date or outing. I highly recommend making reservations if you’re going on the weekend. It’s a $10 deposit per person. You can make reservations online. However, i found it best to actually call. The deposit go towards your bill. You also have to come back and get your candle after 2-3 hours. I suggest getting lunch or shopping afterwards. The staff was extremely nice, patient and knowledgeable. They helped us put our scents together and made great recommendations. It’s very cute and clean inside. The standard candle vase is $38. The colors are white, black and brown. But they have a wide variety of jars to choose from. Price range is $38-$75. They also had a deal buy 3 jars and get 1 jar free promotion. It’s plenty of places to take pictures and the staff was willing to snap it for us. I don’t think they let you add enough smell good oils to the candle. They have candles for sale at the register from people not coming back to pick them up. We smelled about 8 candles and almost none of them had smells. That was disappointing.
