We stopped at the memorial where you can park and look at the mine without actually going in on a tour. There is a memorial with a dedication and signs listing the history of the mine and the actions to repair the town after it closed and more. Very cool to look at, it is deep and the colors of the rock are fascinating to view. You may get a bit of vertigo but there is a fence (with cut outs for taking pics) surrounding it s you're safe. Just don't drop your phone while taking pictures! You are right at the entrance to the town of Bisbee so its easy to stop and get a nice view before checking out the local shops and historical sites.
