Let’s start with the positive: breakfast options much better than other hotels.
Unfortunately, the staff, although very professional, were curt and unwelcoming.
The valet staff were great, but I couldn’t get through to them to get my car in and out either time. Even front desk was unavailable.
There was not ONE SINGLE PLACE TO EAT nearby that was open, and we didn’t feel like hitting traffic again and again so that was a major disappointment. (The restaurant across the street looked really great until we got our car parked finally and went to the door and found out there was a private party and we were not allowed in and it was 50° out so we were not sitting outside or walking anywhere since we didn’t feel we needed all our things due to the small room and supposedly short walk ) We went to bed hungry after a 12 hour flight because the line to get the alacart foods at the front desk and only one microwave to do so was ridiculously long for 9 pm —They offer beer on tap, so it was swarming with drinkers in the lobby and hard to navigate with kids.
The sinks in the room are not designed to wash out a common coffee mug. There was only ONE COFFEE left for us at the machine which had a cord about 6-7 inches long that we had to brew in the bathroom. No tea or waters were even available.
The pool area was a marvelous treat, until a family with ONE toddler entered and the echo was so loud we couldn’t even talk next to each other.
There was no hand soap, and the conditioner was completely empty. (He ve the eco friendly alright) There were 3 of us with long curly hair and Due to the size of the room, we left some of our things which were far off in the valet-parked vehicle. The room was TINY for 4 people sharing 2 queens.
With the “inconvenience” of parking being $60, and the room @$350, I feel MAJORLY ripped off. We paid extra to be near the airport and downtown, but with all of the lack of amenities and traffic redirect due to construction this was definitely NOT a convenient place at all, and I highly recommend going elsewhere. We will happily go back to the hotels further away that are $150 a night less.
WiFi password was nowhere to be found so surfing for grub hub on international phones was...
Read moreI’ll start by saying this… the hotel was nice. It was pretty clean and in a great location.. other than that, I was extremely disappointed. Huge flaws! ||Valet parking- upon my arrival, I was told there is no other option than to pay $62 a night for a service I didn’t even use. All they did was park my car and retrieve it when it was time for our departure. We walked everywhere. Come to find out there is a garage down the street that’s cheaper. I had to contact customer service and get a case # just to be told this by a “manager”. ||Room- we booked a 2 queen room. The beds were quite small so we measured them. Turns out they are full size so don’t let the advertisement fool you. 4 grown adults trying to sleep on full size mattresses isn’t very comfortable. Apparently this is their “standard” bed size. Well maybe don’t advertise them as queens? The AC is monitored by a sensor. So it goes into “eco mode”. Found this out from maintenance because we came back to a warm room. Turns out you can’t actually control the temperature at all. It just does what it does even if you try to change it. Boston was in a heat advisory so imagine walking into a hot room after walking around the city all day. ||Overall- the pool was nice, kind of small though for being 2 hotels in one. Gym seemed to be updated with nice equipment but wasn’t accessible when there was small children running in and out of it all day and night. Breakfast was actually pretty good, a lot of different options and 2 different buffet areas. Location was great especially for walking to and from certain destinations. ||Would I stay here again? No. I’d rather stay in the city for a few extra bucks next time. I’ve been to Boston 3 times now and this is my first experience outside of the city. Definitely not...
Read moreHotel is fantastic with the exception of the area at the front to drop off your car. The hotel must revisit this system since it could certainly run more efficiently using various techniques (e.g. golf cart shuttle for their employees during peak hours to pick up valet cars) or widening the area so a second car can easily pass on the inside of the roundabout. Fitness room was amazing except for the fact that there wasn't ANYTHING available to wipe equipment after I used it? This is absurd for pre-covid times, let alone during covid. I told the front desk and they too thought it was odd but nothing was added when I went the next day.
Breakfast options are great and we had quite a wait all 3 mornings because the hotel was so busy. Perhaps they need a 3rd or 4th waffle maker since this is usually the biggest problem. I chose this hotel because of the breakfasts and the options didn't disappoint, especially some healthier options which were appreciated, like greek yogurt, unfortunately we only found that the first of our three mornings. Maria was incredible and super pleasant to all the guests, especially the little kids. Was great to see her smiling face each morning! We stayed on the 3rd floor at the end if the hall and the room was nice and quiet. The bathroom did not have a fan, which was odd and there were drink stains on the desk when we first walked in, but aside from that the room was brand new and very clean.
Location is mostly industrial but we were only about a 10 minute walk to a decent amount of comfort/civilization near the piers/restaurants.
Pool was nice although small like all hotel pools but enough for a quick dip for the little kids.
You will be very happy...
