I received "The Bump" prenatal massage yesterday at 20 weeks pregnant. The entire experience was bizarre and definitely not the relaxing morning I expected. The woman who performed my treatment was very nice, but she talked to me the ENTIRE massage... I told her we had already picked a name for our son, but she suggested baby names throughout the entire hour. It was just... odd? I felt like I was trapped in an awkward Uber conversation for an hour.
The massage itself was too light to really be beneficial... but she didn't check if the pressure was okay so I figured maybe it was light by default? At the end of the massage, she used a warm dry towel to "wipe" my head, face, and upper shoulders... this seemed unnecessary and rough because the towel was dry. Finally, instead of saying something like, "take your time getting up, I'll meet you outside" she said something like, "you look like you want to take a nap, but unfortunately I have other clients so I'll meet you outside". She kind of said it jokingly, but I've never had a massage therapist basically tell me to hurry up and get dressed...?
I don't know, like I said, the woman seemed really nice, but I've never had to maintain a conversation during a massage- it was just so awkward and not relaxing at all. The warm dry towel in addition to the positioning and pressure of the massage made this whole experience 100% not worth it. The massage + tip was over $250. Definitely do not recommend The Bump massage...
Read moreI had a full service yesterday and have never had, nor probably will ever have again, this wonderful spa experience. The muscule melted massage is a must! I cannot remember her name but my body still feels great! The collagen facial with Josefina . . .my face looks and feels young! Shayna did my pedicure and she was so friendly and my feet look great! Cassandra did my pedicure and she was the most friendly! She went above and beyond! They all did! Lisa at the front desk was very helpful during checkout and answered every question! Tatiana was so nice and showed me around, telling me how to use the lockers. And she made up for it, after the spa had to reschedule my appointment. I really appreciate it every one of those ladies. I felt like a queen, physically and mentally. I told my husband if I could do this monthly, I would (I'm not from Boston). I highly recommend Breve Spa. Not only is the service top notch, but the facilities are as well. Everything was so clean, so organized, and they literally thought of everything. The shower afterward included everything you needed to shower. They even have a hairdryer, combs, hair ties, you name it! It even includes toothbrushes with toothpaste, individually wrapped of course. The only thing I was missing, was was glasses cleaner, which is no big deal. Ladies, and guys, you're in for a delightful treat with this place. It's worth...
Read moreI live locally and visited the Breve Spa for the first time this month. I had the most wonderful experience at the spa. Everything was exceptional, from the check-in to the service and facilities. I have been to many spas in this area and this was by far the best experience I have had in Boston. Saskia at the front desk was kind, attentive and just lovely to be around. She made me feel so welcome. I had my services completed with Lemara, one of the massage therapists. Lemara did an outstanding job and she was very kind, attentive and provided one of the best services I have ever had. Aside from the fact that the staff and services were outstanding, the facility was spotless with wonderful amenities. This has been by far my best Boston Spa experience!...
