Read moreUnfortunately I just had my last appointment at The Nail Bar. I’ve been going here for almost a year and a half and Tony does excellent work especially with dip manicures. I always get a dip manicure and a regular pedicure, a pretty basic service. I started getting my nails filed to an almond shape about 4 or 5 months ago. Over the summer, my typical $80 service went up to $85 and then to $90 and when it hit $90 I asked why and was told that “prices have gone up.” Ok, fine. Then my next two visits were $85.
I didn’t love this pattern so I kept my receipt from September 19 and when I was charged $90 today I asked what the difference was. After some back and forth which really didn’t make sense, I was told that almond shaped nails cost $5 more and sometimes Tony charges me and sometimes he doesn’t. I’ve NEVER been told that a nail shape costs more; Tony just started suggesting it and I liked it and went with it.
I paid and left and soon the manager calls to ask for my Venmo so she could send me $5 back. Nice enough effort to try to make it right but the damage is done. I generally don’t leave negative reviews but prospective customers need to know about this little game. I don’t like for myself or my money to be disrespected and I will...
Read moreGreat store selection! Target, Stop and Shop, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Nike Outlet, to name a few! Olive Garden and Applebee's are a couple of chain favorites in the plaza for a bite after shopping. This is a "local" plaza, so to speak. This means local traffic, some local problems. I'm just keeping it real. Many items are under lock and key in the store to deter theft. Something I am not used to dealing with when shopping. So, waiting for items in many of the stores is common. The Stop and Shop grocery store carries many ethnic/cultural items that you will not find in your area S&S. That was refreshing to see. In the back end of the plaza, there is an AMC movie theater and a few upper casual restaurants and places for a cocktail. More shopping options are located in that area as well. Hidden from the main "anchor stores", you could easily miss these other shops. Stop and Shop Gas, does offer some of the cheapest gas in the city limits. I frequent this plaza out of convenience and store selection. But, being located between a struggling neighborhood and a newly gentrified one has its shopping challenges. Take a look for yourself and be the judge. Patronizing this plaza will keep it around. It's a much...
