Have been shopping in Runnings for years. Primarily in livestock, pet & household supplies as well as fishing equipment & dog training equipment. I find their clothing better then what is found at competitors in Brookings. Their prices are comparable in most things. Poultry supplies are often superior to what is elsewhere & better priced. The full time staff overseeing each dept knows their products (not referring to their young staff). We purchased a pellet/bio-fuel furnace from them & the fuel pellets as well some years back & have great service over the years. No regrets working with them!    Read moreI'm not very impressed with the company Runnings. They sell many varieties of guns, but yet you are not allowed to carry a firearm or conceal carry a firearm in the store. Runnings claims it is for personnel and store safety. Also they claim that it makes customer nervous to have people carrying firearms. If the weapon is concealed who is to know that it is there? And what about the wall of guns in the back in full display. Does this make people nervous? My company gives me a clothing allowance every year, in which Runnings is the only place I buy winter work clothing. If you keep a good eye on their sales, they have really great deals. The staff is always very helpful, even when you call to find out if they have something you are looking for.
