Golden Nails — Attraction in Brooklyn Center

I went here for the first time with a six year old and we both got manicures. After trying to up-sell me on the gel polish, they settled us in seats that weren't together. I had called ahead of time to ask if they could do two manicures at a certain time and they said to just come in but it was kind of a bummer to not be seated together especially with a child.

The technician who did my nails was nice, but the glitter top coat was uneven and started chipping right away. Within 48 there were major chips and three days later they are already completely wrecked.

The technician who had the child left her sitting in the chair when they were done and started talking on her phone across from her as if she weren't even there.

I was instructed to wash my hands with a brush after the first step and the only brush in sight was used (I noticed later that there were drawers in the cabinet that supposedly had clean brushes, but it was not obvious that they were there or that they were available for anyone to use).

It just didn't seem very professional and this is the shortest a manicure has ever lasted. Overall a disappointing experience and, with the abundance of options in the area, I wouldn't go back. HORRIBLE!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! I was rushed first of all it was only a Wednesday morning it's not like it was Friday and super busy. Secondly THEY LIED TO ME I ASKED FOR GEL NAILS AND EXPLAINED IT WAS MY SECOND TIME GETTING MY NAILS DONE . The lady put acrylic on my nails after I asked FOR GEL!!!! she lied and told me that it was a gel powder which is no such thing!!!!! And charged me $56 for an acrylic full set!! Their acrylic full set is listed as $26. After I confronted her about putting the wrong set on my nails she GOT AN ATTITUDE AND START SPEAKING A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE 🙄🙄🙄🙄 then she pointed me to the cashier and walked off!!! Since I know they won't cooperate with refunding me my money or even redoing my nails all I can do is leave this review AND HOPE THAT IT TAKES AWAY FROM THEIR SCAMMING BUSINESS!!!! I've also reported them to the better business beraeu so good luck I hope nobody ever goes there anymore they are liars, scammers, & for sure a RIP OFF AND UNCOOPERATIVE BUT EXPECT YOU TO PAY AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR THEIR...

Andy is thee BEST! He's been doing my nail for over 15 years. He is just awesome in so many ways. He's my #1 GO TO person always! Now, Yuvonne aka Twin is Fantastic! She's my #2. If you want something super fancy and BLINGED out, go to her. They are both Amazing with waxing eyebrows too. They both also do lashes. Andy is the expert in this area. Yuvonne is an expert in waxing. You can't go wrong with either of them.

This place is cool. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It can get very crowded and long waits at times so please call ahead. To be transparent, if you're new and not a regular they will make you pay for services in advance. They have a lot of theft and walkouts at this location because they are so damn good and it can get very crowded quickly.

I prefer to come during downtime...during the weekdays while people are working or before they get off work. Pre Holidays are CRAZY in there so plan your time...
