After passing by on my walks downtown many times, I finally made it into this museum and I wasn’t disappoint! The displays were phenomenal and the volunteer workers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It’s not a very big place, but if you take a deep dive into the individual displays you could easily get lost for hours. The historic items and photographs are well presented. They also have many models of historic ships and grain elevators. The best part about it is that it is FREE! They do accept donations, which I gladly provided, and I bought a bottle that one of their divers found on the bottom of the harbor. If you are in to Buffalo history, I highly recommend this museum.

Family and I just randomly walking by and happened upon this lovely local gem. Its full of Buffalo harbor history and such, as expected. The guy who staffed the place was real nice and answered a lot of our questions. Free admission but we gave a donation, I could tell they did a lot of work. Great hole-in-the-wall museum.!!!

This was a unplanned stop today, but informative and fun. When we seen the USS Little Rock we had time and did the tour of the ships. Have fun and spend plenty of time checking everything out

My fiancé and I visited the museum yesterday. It's relatively small contained to a single floor with stairs from the front to get in.

It is absolutely packed with interesting items and descriptions. We also had Tim (I hope I'm remembering his name correctly) as a volunteer, he was a wealth of knowledge and did his best to answer any questions we had and elaborated on many of the pieces already there. He did an amazing job and really made our experience enjoyable!

The museum is free, there is a guest book I would recommend using, and if you enjoy yourself, donations are welcome.

Thankyou for the fun afternoon and we hope to...

A must-visit if you like history! The displays are immersive, and the knowledgeable volunteers make it feel like a journey back in time. With historic artifacts, ship models, and photographs, there’s so much to discover. I was surprised it’s free! You can leave donations in cash, but it would be great if they offered a digital donation option. Thank you to the amazing volunteers for making this experience so special. Highly...
