I have so much to say!! My new husband and I celebrated our wedding reception in the Greenhouse Room this past Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was set up exactly the way we asked for it to be- more than we asked for, actually. Our wedding manager, Liam, was SUPERB. He worked so hard for us, and we could not be more appreciative. He was always around as a point of contact without being overbearing. We were able to extend our bar package to keep the party going without a glitch, and our bartenders were great, as well, especially with a party of 212 who like to party. Amie was also a great help! When we arrived during cocktail hour, she had appetizers and drinks brought to us right away, and got us updated on how the evening had been going. The food was amazing and the portions were huge! I heard nothing but good things from my guests (we had pot roast, salmon, and chicken Marsala). 5/5 stars! We also hosted our rehearsal dinner in the bar area of the Pan-American Grill, and my shower was through Pearl Street, at Pearl Street at the Webb. In addition, Pearl Street sets you up with a consultant that is with you every step of the way, from your original tour of the venue, to your drop off a few days before the wedding. Our contact, Charlie, was so attentive. He listened to everything we asked for, and was so easy to talk to. I’ve attended quite a few weddings at Pearl Street and all of them were absolutely stunning, so when I got engaged I was so excited to tour the different venues at Pearl Street. Unfortunately, during my visit, my mother and I were treated poorly and the event coordinator who was assigned to give us a tour of the venue was extremely rude. My mom asked quite a few questions (as most should when planning a special day) and the event coordinator was standoffish and defensive. We would ask questions about pricing and packages and the coordinator would tell us to “look at the folder, everything is in the folder.” ...But we weren’t given a folder when we got there because she was 20 minutes late to our scheduled appointment and rushed us through everything. I do want to say that Diane (who set up our date and time to tour pearl street) was extremely thorough and great at following up with information. I’ve heard wonderful things about one of the event coordinators named Nikki, as well. As for the woman that my mother and I worked with, I was extremely dissatisfied with her lack of professionalism. This was the first venue I toured and it made me hesitant to tour other places because I felt so uncomfortable and uneasy. Had I not had such an unpleasant visit, I definitely think I would’ve booked at Pearl Street, as it is stunning and affordable. We used Events by Pearl Street for our wedding reception in November of this year and we have nothing but positive things to say about working with Abby and the rest of her team. When we originally booked our venue, we selected Hotel Lafayette, however we had to switch venues due to certain contractual issues between Pearl St and Hotel Lafayette. Despite the initial stress and disappointment the switch caused, Abby and her team gave us the option of switching to any other venue at Pearl Street or Riverworks without any additional cost or getting a full refund to look for another venue. We decided to switch to the 3rd Floor at Pearl Street and we're glad we did. Abby was extremely organized and on-top of communicating with us, and the staff on the day of our wedding were excellent. She was definitely tied for our favorite wedding vendor with our photographer. We received many compliments on the food that was a part of the Winter Wedding Package which included pot roast, chicken, apple crisp/ice cream dessert, and we added in a late-night Buffalo station as well.
