Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Bulverde

Well up until today I enjoyed this store. Never again after today will I shop at this or probably any other Tractor Supply! So a little back story so it doesn't seem like I'm just bashing this store. So the other day I went to find a lawn mower belt for a walk behind mower that I had bought less than a year ago. I went to Home Depot, where I bought my mower, and of course they didn't carry the part. Well next I tried Auto Zone and their catalog wouldn't come up so no help there. So lastly I tried Tractor Supply and of course they had what I was looking for go figure! Well I get home take my old belt off and realize its 3/8 width not 1/2 inch like I had bought. So I hurry up to go return the belt back well Tractor Supply was closed. No biggy, I came back the next day to hopefully swap the one I had bought for a smaller one. Well I walked into the store with belt in hand walked to the lawn mower belt isle looked they didn't have 3/8, so I was like well I just return the belt well of course I forgot my receipt and Tractor Supply rerun policy says that without a receipt you have to have manager approval. Well the girl at the register was busy talking to a boy trying to flirt with her so I just walked out with the same belt that I had walked in with mind you. So to the reason why I wont shop here again, today a local police officer pulls into my driveway and ask to talk with me, with most off my neighbors watching. He says that yesterday Tractor Supply saw a man that looked like me walk out with a lawn mower belt in hand, and that he stayed in the parking lot long enough for them to get his licenses plate which was obviously mine and he was following up on it. So I explained what had happened showed him my receipt of purchase and he told me that he isn't saying that I stole the item, but there is a lot of theft that goes on up there. So he drove away and said he was going to talk to the store because I still needed to return my item because of it being the wrong size. So I went to Tractor Supply about 15 minutes after the police officer left, I returned my item and they acted like nothing happen. So just letting anyone know that shopping here means that if you legally pay for something and bring it back to the store "You Are Innocent Until Proven Guilty Of Theft" as the police officer who came to my front door put it! Bought 2 (two) brand new 35 ton log splitters from an out of state Tractor Supply and trailered them back to Texas. Once home, I discovered that the huskee 35 ton splitter had suffered an ethanol death and the carb was in need of a rebuild. Keep in mind it was sold as "New", not "as-is". The warranty (both manufacturer and extended) doesn't cover "fuel related issues" (oddly enough, when I paid $199 for the extended warranty, I was told it covered everything except misuse). So, I head up to this TS store to see if I can swap, or get them to foot the costs on repairs since I'm still within my 30 day return period. I get a resounding NO. Manager tells me to "bite the bullet" and later tells me to "suck it up". Says he won't take it because they don't stock those 35 ton units anymore. When I corner him on the 30 day return policy he says it should go to the other store that sold it..... in West Virginia.

So I replaced the carburetor and then discovered water in the oil, so I changed the oil too. The air filter has rust, so I'll be replacing that too. If I was having a shop do this, I'd be into the $200+ range on repairs to something I never used before. Doing it myself, I'm just under $100 and lots of down time. SMH over the treatment I've gotten here, as well as the other store in Belle, West Virginia....

I’d like to share my experience I had today First of all, I had been to two Home Depot already really stressed out was having problems with my propane tanks for my home and figure out the problems. I just happened to see that tractor supply was open So I quickly stopped I walked in. The two people upfront were kind of lost on what I was looking for then all of a sudden, there was a gentleman by the name of web and let me tell you the guy stopped what he was doing Helped me with all my questions and figured out my problem I was having Now I do not know that I’ll tractor supplies have somebody like Web in there But this particular location has done the right thing by having that gentleman there I am very happy and my propane problems are over and it is all because I stopped at tractor supply and met this gentleman by the name of web in there. If you have any questions, the man is pretty knowledgeable over everything. Anyhow I just felt important that everybody knew about this place. Service so thank you Web for everything you did.
