Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Bulverde

Take this for what it is. Went on a Thursday night. Ordered in the app, the 10 pc spicy with a large red beans and rice and large fries. I had resigned myself to a 30 minute wait in line, and numerous corrections. When I got there, there were 2 cars in line, so I figured it would be a while. Imagine my shock when the first car was done in 2 minutes. The second car was through 2 minutes later. Shocked, I drove to the window. Shortly afterwards I received my frozen mango lemonade which was excellent. Shortly after I received the rest of the order. It was hot and correct! Then the true test when i got home. Our chicken was crispy and perfectly spicy. The beans and rice were juicy and the best I've had at this location. The french fries were plentiful, and perfectly cooked, not burned or limp. The best experience i have had at this location in the 3 years we've been here. Kudos. Prior review: Went to pickup lunch today. It was an extremely busy Saturday. There were only 3 people working. 2 in the kitchen, 1 handling drivethru and counter. Please owner, hire more people they were busting their butts, but couldn't keep up. With the price of this chicken, surely you can adequately staff the restaurant. Positive, chicken was fresh and hot, and sides were good. Negative, my wife ordered the 10 piece, there were 3 wings missing. Earlier review follows. I had 2 problems with my order tonight. First, we ordered the 14 piece offer through the app. When I arrived home and started unpacking the order, my wife noticed there were only 12 pieces of chicken. Then we noticed that there were no breasts in the order. Zip. Zilch. So our first thought was they forgot to put a couple of breasts in the order. Second, Then we noticed that there were only 5 biscuits instead of 7. So it wasn't an accident, there were purposefully no breasts in the order. This is a very problematic Popeyes. I should know not to leave without thoroughly checking the order. [Review from 6 months ago]. 8 times out of 10, the food is very good to excellent. 1 out of 10 it's OK, but not what you expect from Popeyes. Then there's that other one, which was tonight. I got home, and as we opened the box, it was apparent all wasn't good. The skin was dull, and two breasts actually had burned black spots. The breasts were too dry to enjoy, the wings were like Dracula after seeing the sun, the thighs were even dry. Also, the beans tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. I really hate writing bad reviews, but honestly, I can't put this off anymore. This location's service has been going downhill for quite a while, and despite giving them the benefit of the doubt about trying to get more people, nothing is changing for the better. Today pulled up and was the only car in line, ordered my 2 combos and went to pay out, the person working the drive through was friendly and seemed to be trying his best, but forgot my drinks when he handed me my chicken meals, had to remind him of that. Then, as I was driving away, I noticed only my chicken sandwiches were in the bag, not my sides or biscuit, so I turned around and tried to go inside the building, but it was locked . I then proceeded to the drive-through again and explained that I was just there and needed my sides and biscuit, they tell me to pull up, and so I did. I was given a bag with 1 side of fires , not 2, which I had ordered, and by this point, was just done trying to get it all right. The entire time I was there, only 1 other car came through the line. Now, mind you times are tough finding workers, and we live in an ever-changing world, but it should not be that hard to get a fast food order in 2022. Whoever is running this place really needs to be better first to their workforce to train them properly, and then maybe they might get my business again, but for now I am done with this location and would strongly suggest you find a different place to get a...

I was in this restaurant approximately 2 days ago. I Uber and my fare took me into this town, Spring Branch, TX. on HWY 46 West we've all heard of Popeyes Louisiana kitchen this one to me was different I did not expect what service I got when I walked in. The first thing they're the gentleman there who greeted me with a friendly face and a big smile I love seeing Quinn things are in order of course I glanced across him into the kitchen and everyone in there were taken care of their business people may believe frying chicken is just frying chicken I believe every place I go into we have our ways of working I saw that this crew was working as a world oil machine and that right there gets my mind to believe the food will be good. Like I said everyone heard of Popeye's fried Chicken I was treated with care and I could feel the atmosphere as I listen to the zydeco music that was playing in the background and not like walking walking into the mini Popeyes I've been in where they're playing rock and roll music rap music and music that does not match the atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant if you're in Spring Branch, Tx. On HWY 46 West. Believe me I am a chef myself and when one chef speaks about a restaurant that he recommends it's not easy to give a review.
