Amazing place to grab Alkaline water by the gallon! I've always had to purchase alkaline water from Fresh and Easy by the 32 oz. water bottles, and those can get pricey after a while. Compare to the 3-gallon jugs I get for about the same price, and the water sold here are a STEAL! You can't beat that.
PARKING/HOURS: Depending on your timing, you can either get lucky with parking in front, or having to park across the street (2 spaces across the street are dedicated to Carlsbad Alkaline water customers only). If all are taken, I usually end up waiting for about 2-3 minutes before someone pulls out of their spot. Not too bad. All of the customers are parked just so they can refill their gallons. What's great is their water service is 24-hours, BUT if you need to speak to an employee, they are there only during their hours of operation. I love how it's accessible 24-hours though. I sometimes end up going here really late at night with no problems at all.
WATER QUALITY : Amazing! I love their water here. Anyone reading this who is wondering what alkaline water does for your body, (as opposed to regular drinking water), look it up! The difference is HUGE. I forget the pH level of the water here, but it's consistently silky.
PRICE: They did raise their prices once since my husband and I first started coming here 2 years ago. Filling up a 3-gallon is still cheaper than buying a single bottle of alkaline water elsewhere though. :) Can't beat that price.
LOCATION: My only downside, which really isn't a downside. I live in the Golden Triangle area so it's quite a drive up to Carlsbad Village, but still worth it and not even an issue. I bought several 3-gallon jugs from them (they sell 1-gallon, 3-gallon, and 5-gallon. 5-gallon jugs would be too heavy for me to carry upstairs to my apartment, so I've opted for 4 3-gallon jugs, and 1 1-gallon jug. Because of having this many, I don't really have to make too many trips to this place. Only when they're all empty, or I'm down to the last jug. :)
WATER PORTIONS: The machines pour out the water in either 1-gallon, 3-gallons, and 5-gallons. There's also an ozone rinse you do before you refill your jugs. Since it's all computerized, there've been times when my 3-gallon water purchase will literally overflow to what feels like 3.5 gallons, so err on the side of caution when it's about to reach the top. I close the plastic door shut just in case it does. Other times, it'll be just right. And a few times, it seems to be missing about a quarter gallon more, but I leave it alone. There has been a customer who's complained about this while I was there (minding my business, but can't help to eavesdrop because they were complaining to the employee really loud). Eh. I digress. It's ALKALINE WATER! I love it here, so I...
Read moreAfter being a loyal delivery customer for over a year, our water delivery needs had changed. When the delivery driver made our recent delivery, I informed him that we only needed two five-gallon bottles. He told me that they have a three- bottle minimum or they have to charge me an additional $15.00. I said I only needed two bottles and he gave me a receipt for the two bottles. Within several minutes the manager called and said he was going to charge me the additional $15.00 there are no exceptions. I explained to him that I didn’t mind the additional fuel charges that they tack on to the bill every month unlike any other water service. However, as a matter of customer service I felt that the $15.00 was not reasonable and that I wanted them to deliver the extra bottle they were going to charge me for. The manager said he would not send his driver back, even though he was still in the area. I told him that I was puzzled by their lack of customer service/loyalty as there are many other options out there for similar products and services. He said there are no exceptions and I told him that as a matter of principle he would be losing a customer for life and he didn’t seem to care. As a business owner myself for over 30 years I was blown away by their callous attitude. I will be taking my business elsewhere and let the public know of my experience.
Shortly after posting my review, I received a call from Jake Smith the general manager of Carlsbad Alkaline Drinking Water. He asked me for more details and my version of the events as to why I was dissatisfied with my experience. After hearing my side, he immediately apologized for any misunderstanding or inconvenience and offered me several options if I wanted to resume my service. I explained to him that we love their product and we are happy to continue being a customer. It is this type of customer service and prompt response to issues that set some companies apart from the rest. Thanks Jake for reaching out to us and helping to...
Read more810 miles. We drive down from the San Francisco Bay Area, every 3 months, to pickup 175 gallons for our family. This should be enough of a review for you to know how good this water really is, but let me explain why it is worth it.
You can do your own research on the benefits Alkaline water, but there is more to this water than just the pH level.
● It's pure spring water, with the an amazing balance of minerals that tastes amazing and feels so good when you drink it. It's hard to explain, but the inside of your throat feels smooth.
● No additives. The vast majority of Alkaline waters you'll find are treated with chemical additives to increase the pH. This comes right out of the ground at around 8.7! If you care about your health, why on earth would you not choose naturally alkaline water?
● We feel better. My wife and son have noticeably clearer skin than before they started on the water. On occasions where we ran out of water between fill ups, they start getting more acne flaring up. The other benefit we've all seen has been happy GI tracts. It sure seems to help keep everything moving well.
● Great people. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. If you get a chance to meet the owners, Ludvik and Veronica, ask them about the history of this well and it's water. It's fascinating and educational, plus they are just great people!
For you skeptics, who might think I'm embellishing, we've been making the drive for more than two years. Probably 10 roundtrips by now. Try it out and you'll understand why we think it's worth it.
So there's more I could say, but this should give you a pretty good idea on why we think it...
