Harbor Freight — Attraction in Carson

Here's the deal. There is no in-store pickup if you order online. It will be shipped. Shipping is not free. Have to go there physically once you locate what you're looking for on the website harborfreight.com. The website is helpful because it lets you know what store has inventory/ products you're looking for.

Before I left, called the Carson location and asked the young lady to physically check for 12 x 20 tarps. To be sure they in stock before I drove 20 miles round trip to go pick it up. yes she said we have fourteen of them.

Verified because it matched the inventory at HFT online as well. I get there the Shelf was empty. Waited in line twice. 45 minutes later I got my tarp. Somebody dropped the ball, needs more training. Harbor Freight is nice tho. They have anything and everything you need if your projects remodeling working on cars that have it all. it's like going to the OG Sears and Roebuck back...

Went in for a weed eater machine. All of the staff was in the front near the registers. Since I have years of professional landscape experience, I knew what to buy. They had about 4 types of machines, but I bought the medium type machine for grass. My ex sister - in - law was with me, ( who can't speak good English), needed help in finding another tool besides the weed eater. There were 5 people working, 3 people just standing around and 2 at the registers working. She asked me to ask for help, but they acted like they didn't understand English!! ( A big problem here in the USA these days). So, she asked iin Spanish and got help! My problem is, how do people shop there if the employees act like they don't understand English?? Management needs...

Store was clean and appeared to be well stocked. I purchased the workbench and one of the associates brought the flat pack box to my vehicle and loaded it for me. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. Very happy with my last shopping experience with this Harbor Freight location and will likely return to this location for future purchases.

Harbor freight is great for the things I buy because I don't use them often, only for weekend warrior/DIY projects. The price vs. durability trade off works for me and would make a great starter toolkit for someone looking to build one on a budget. I hope this kinda helps set your expectations, they are great products, but keep in mind you may want to upgrade if a tool fails or isn't quite...
